This car is a great running 1980 Trans Am. Previous owner installed an Olds 403 so technically it is a 1979 but title says 1980. Car was born in Van Nuys Ca Sept. 1979. It was lt blue originally and previous owner painted dk blue and did a pretty tacky job on the interior. I have removed most of it but some remains (see pix) Tires are like brand new with little miles on them, transmission was rebuilt in 2008 turbo 350. Has a slow transmission seal leak still. Body is in decent shape has had bondo work previously and some surface rust and a few crispy parts behind rear wheel wells but other than that very workable. All of the rubber has dryrotted and the windows and t tops leak, easy fix. Under carriage is pretty rusty also. The door latch on the inside of drivers door needs to be welded. Door still shuts and latches but will eventually need to be fixed if restoring her. Front windshield has a crack. Car has air conditioning (not blowing cold) Odometer is broken so don't know how many miles are on the 403. I have owned her for 6 years and only driven maybe 120 miles. Regular oil changes as well as a rebuilt carb done 4 years ago. No rust in trunk. Steering wheel has some play. After all of that negative stuff here is the positive. Everything is there to restore this diamond in the rough. I will also include rear flares, a CB radio and a car cover. Battery is a year old and this car is registered, smogs and has a clear title. The engine runs like a champ, once it is warmed up will cold start throughout the day. For a 31 year old car it would be a great donor car or total rebuild. Let this Phoenix fly again, these are getting rarer to find especially running cars. I am selling low and also have it listed locally so I can remove at anytime.
