You are bidding on a restored 1968 Ford Ranchero that has been in my family for 20 plus years. The body was stripped to the metal and painted with the original factory color when new. Everything from the firewall forward was removed and painted, also both doors were taken apart when painted. The interior has been completely redone and all metal was painted to original color, everything inside passenger compartment was removed including the metal dash. Does not have original steering wheel. The dash has ZERO cracks. Still has the original AM radio. Both front and rear bumpers were straightened and rechromed. All stainless and metal trim on bed were either polished or rechromed. The engine is a rebuilt 302 with less than 2000 miles on it and backed by a rebuilt C-4 Transmission, the engine and trans are not the original. Engine has an Edelbrock manifold and Carb. with ceramic coated headers with 2 1/2 " exhaust and flow master mufflers. Front brakes were upgraded to power Disc brakes from a GT model with all new hardware. Michelin tires. Power steering and suspension all rebuilt. Front windshield is new and all weather stripping and rubber around doors and windows replaced. Radiator rebuilt and heater core replaced. Optima yellow top sealed battery. Drivers adjustable mirror is new, new outside door handles, new tail light lenses. The seat belts were upgraded from lap type to a three point shoulder as in new vehicles. The car is an original California car first sold in Van Nuys Ca. I have the original small owner booklet that comes in the glove box with the original owners name printed in front when he bought the car. We are the third owners of the vehicle. I know there a lot of small items that I have forgot. On May-09-10 at 15:17:12 PDT, seller added the following information: The car comes with extra parts that I have accumulated over the years. They are in there original condition not restored. Extra script for both rear quarter panels, tail gate lettering, bed stainless and corners, complete dash instrument cluster, outside door handles, extra gas / temperature gauge for instrument cluster, one complete tail light housing and lense, right front fender no rust, original lap seat belts, clear plastic face for instrument cluster. left front fender eyebrow, after market shop manuel and electrical manuel.
