NO RESERVE!!! Up for action is my 1987 BMW 535i that I have owned for 1 year. The condition if this car is amazing, and very original. I bought the car with an ORIGINAL 70,XXX miles! EVERYTHING WORKS!! Even the trip computer, the head rests, the power seats, the Sunroof, the power antenna, the R12 filled A/C, the transmissions sport mode, EVERYTHING!! I bought this car from a tow yard that got a call to move this car from an apartment, since the cars owner had died. The car was picked up, and no one ever came to claim the BMW. So, they did a title swap 6 months later and I then purchased it from them. The car sat for a while so thats why some of the service was redundant, as I wanted to ensure it was done and done right. In the time I have had the car I have replaced the following items: Full tune up with: fuel filter, air filter, plugs,8MM wires,cap n rotor, belts, vac hoses, temp sensor, Oxygen sensor, intake hoses, fuel pressure regulator, fuel hoses, all clamps (german), all bosch or OEM parts. I have also changed the rear pitman arms, rubber exhaust hangers, rear muffler,had the auto tranny serviced with new filter, new pan gasket and fresh fluid.New battery. I just completed replacing ALL the coolant hoses under hood, all hose clamps, factory 80 degree thermostat, coolant tank, and filled it all back up with BMW coolant. (The car had blue BMW coolant in it before I did the hoses) Also, I changed out all the low pressure P/S hoses. Also replaced one of the trans cooler hoses, and have the two long ones to go with the car. They are NEW. The previous owner had just had the following done in 2007-2009: Transmission and torque converter remanufactured 66273 miles.It shifts firm and smartly!COMPLETE fluid change of the entire car(Power steering flush, Oil & Filter, rear Diff service with synthetic oil and a radiator service, Fan clutch at 69074 miles, New Radiator 1/08. PROGRAMA remanufactured computer from 4/2007. Paint/Exterior: Very good condition! There is a dent the size of a dime in the drivers door, a small dent on the left side trunk lid, and LIGHT scratches near the drivers door handle, they may rub out. Overall paint is very strong, and will polish/wax out basically all fine scratches.The hood has a smear where it looks like something rubber hit the hood. I have had the car washed, but I have not had it waxed. The paint is extremely shiny and all original! All body panels have the matching VIN sticker.(Along with the engine) The car is wearing the original TRX wheels which have good rubber on them. The wheels are in good shape, but the center cap stickers are yellowed. Update:1. Because of the cars originality, I choose not to change out the TRX wheels. They are currently in good shape, although I do not know their age or lifespan. I DO have some BMW basketweaves in the garage. If the tires were such a huge issue you can buy those along with the car if you like, I choose to leave that up to the new owner. 2. I have been inundated with end the auction early emails. I have this set up as an auction to be fair to the price, and also get what the market says the car is worth. I will not end the auction early. 3. The car was last smogged in May of 2009 before the major tune up and It passed with flying colors. I have not smogged it yet but expect the same results. Interior: Condition is great, with little wear showing on the original tan BMW floormats. The dash is in very good condition with two or so SMALL cracks (see pics) seat leather is great with no worn spots and the colors are bright. The leather is soft and not brittle in any areas.As stated earlier, the power seats and head rests work perfectly. Back seat looks like it was never used! The headliner is nice, but slightly discolored at the C-pillars. The carpet is good with no rips. Trunk: Like new including a perfect tool kit, down to the original blue BMW towel. The wheel well for the spare tire is shiny black like new, including the original spare tire and wheel complete with the factory rubber protectant on the TRX tire. There is also a ALPINE CD changer in the trunk for the ALPINE head unit. In March I had the car in for an oil & filter change at my usual BMW only independant shop. Because the car doesn't get driven much I just change the oil every 3-4 months. While he had the car this time I had him look the entire car over. He reccomended that I change the tie rods and center steering link. I declined doing it since it didn't have any symptoms. I have since purchased Meyle parts for this job but they are in the trunk. I also have a few spare parts for the car like: Hood insulation kit, tank fuel pump, extra computer, relays, and a few other things. All the guys in the Indy shop say that this is "the cleanest E28 they have ever seen" Im selling the car since I have 5 cars in my two person household and need to make room. Plus, the neighbors already think I'm a car dealer with my toys in the garage and driveway. Ideally this car would go to another BMW CCA member that cares for their cars! This car is too nice to be a daily driver, although I have taken it to work many times myself which is a 60 mile round trip on the highway. I have driven the car briefly to 90 and it's solid! Its a very tight no squeaks ride. Please be serious about purchasing the car if you're going to bid on it. Don't just bid for the hell of it!!
