1965 Ford Mustang Fastback A-Code with Factory GT package with a 65 coupe C-Code for parts. I bought this fastback years ago and never had time for it so Its time to get rid of it. I will describe it the best I can and please feel free to email me anyquestions. This car will need a full restoration. As I mentioned it is a real gt. There are a few ways you can tell. One is the fog light switch. 2 is the rounded cutout in the dash for the 5 gauge cluster which is included(date coded correct). and 3 is the rear holes for the factory dual exhaust brackets. The floors are in decent shape, the toe boards are rusted through. The rear quarters need some work along with the rear frame rails of course. The rocker are in good shape. The roof is in good shape. I have original fenders that are decent. Also the doors are in decent shape also. The front aprons etc need work. The front end of the parts car is in nice conditions, frame included. My intentions were to remove the front frame rails off the parts car complete with the fender aprons on and put it on the fastback. I have a 71 302 that goes with this car but keep in mind, the parts car is completely original with an original c code 289. The code on this motor is as follows. c5oe 6015e which is April 30 1965. The heads are 5d29, April 29 1965. This is the correct engine for this car minus the carb. Also the fastback comes with a 4 speed toploader. number are; c8ar-7006-d-w1 Tag says RUG E3 027591. this is not the original trans. The parts car is complete minus front seats and has an automatic transmission. Both cars also have their original rear axles. I DO NOT have a title for the parts car but DO have an open OHIO title for the fastback. The parts car vin is 5T07C159663. This is a desirable Fastback seeing that it has the real GT package from 65. Everything I have goes with it, as you can see in the pictures, there are parts everywhere. It will need to be picked up with some sort or flat bed or car trailer with a wench on it. If you dont already know, these are the easiest and cheapest cars to restore in my opinion. Look in any mustang restoration cataloug and you will agree. They make EVERYTHING for this car at very cheap prices. This is a great project for the moderate to the professional restorer. The first photo is what I intened to make this car.
