Vehicle Detail
This 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has only had 1 owner. Most of the 140,000 miles have been highway miles as this Jeep has made a few trips across the country. It features: Inline 6 Cylinder Engine, 2WD Standard Air Conditioning Cruise Control Roof Rack - I have a bike rack that is a little beat up on top as well that you can have as well Power Steering CD/AM/FM/Cassette In Dash Stereo Premium Infinity Sound System Privacy Glass Power Windows Alloy Wheels Power Door Locks Dual Front Air Bags Tilt Wheel ABS (4-Wheel) Added Features: Multi Compact Disc (10 disc) Leather Moon Roof Power Seat Towing Pkg (from U-Haul) It is in decent shape for its age, but like most used cars has a couple issues. The power lock for the rear hatch no longer operates with the keyless door entry. The new part can be found for $50 and is easily installed (http://www.am-autoparts.com/AM/Door-Lock-Actuators/Jeep/Cherokee/1997/AM-31160951/). The rear hatch will still lock and unlock with interior access. The back-seat driver side window regulator is also malfunctioning. It can be found for $60 as well (http://www.am-autoparts.com/AM/Window-Motors-and-Regulators/Jeep/GrandCherokee/2001/AM-38529128/) Currently the window is held up by friction and is not very secure. Outside of these two issues, the car is in pretty good shape. The gas lifts that hold up the hood and the rear hatch could also use replacing, but these do not affec tthe security or mechanical functioning of the car. Currently, the Jeep has Texas license plates and registration as I recently moved here from the Lone Star State. The title is clean and current. The Kelley Blue Book value for this car in "Fair Condition." Fair Condition is described as: Some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. Clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. Tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage. I have described the mechanical issues above. The title is clean, the paint is in good shape, there are a few minor dings but no damage from any accidents as the car has never seen one. The tires will need to be replaced soon. The spare is in great shape, but a few of the tires are starting to bald. As for rust, I don't know about any or have seen any. Kelley Blue Book values this Jeep at $5425 for a Private Party Sale. I am asking for $4500 in an ideal world, but as this is eBay, things are different..... Please e-mail with any questions and I'll gladly respond promptly or call you. Outside of these two issues, the interior of the car is in pretty good shape. There is a small leak in the radiator, but nothing that really prevents the car from getting from A to B. Some JB-Weld will probably fix this issue. The gas lifts that hold up the hood and the rear hatch could also use replacing, but these do not affec tthe security or mechanical functioning of the car.
