This is a very nice 1979 Continental Mark V Collector Series. We have had the car since it was about 2 or 3 years old. It came from Hollywood Ca. from a wealthy doctor. This car is started regularly and the fluids are kept fresh. It is stored in a climate controlled garage and has been part of a large collection of ours since it was almost new. The A/C blows and blows cool. As you can see from the photos the car is VERY nice for its age. It is not waxed of buffed out in these photos so just imagine how beautiful she really is. The top is not split nor is the trunk pad and they are very soft. We have kept them conditioned all these years. The engine has no chemicals on it to make it look better than it really is, it is very clean. The weather stripping is very soft and actually holds the water out when the car is washed, most of these don’t.. The moon roof does not leak when washed as well. The brakes work great and do not pull. The car was recently moved and it sat for 1 week and there were no fluids that leaked in that amount of time. When the car is turned off the head light doors stay down, they do not go up right away as many do. The “wood grain” inlay in the steering wheel has not lifted at all nor has the clear coat come off of it, it is in great shape. The “wood grain” in the horn pad is in very good shape as well. The car can sit for weeks and it will start with a tap of the key, there is no cranking involved, I know because I’m the one in charge of starting the cars. It runs very smooth. The car has its original tool kit in the trunk as well as the original extra “wood grain” set of keys (uncut and in the tool kit.) The car has all of the work ever done to it documented and the receipts are there as well. This car also has the Knirps umbrella that is in good shape as well I opened it to make sure. The car has the original Collector Series glove box book, as well as owner’s manual and paperwork on what the original cost of the car was as well as added options. It has the tool kit and it is all there. As we all know the hood ornaments can be very expensive; this one is in nice shape. The rear package tray seen through the rear window is not all faded or brittle as are many. The dash pad is very soft and is not cracked or faded. The gauges are in beautifal shape. Both power door lock actuators work strong. The gold plastic part of the grill is in very nice shape. The front bumper filler trim is in nice shape and has not split or cracked as many do. The transmission shifts on time and nice and firm. The paint is not oxidized, as you can see it is in great shape. The 8 tracks do not come with the car. This car has no rust not even around the top. I also have the garage door opener for it. When was the last time you saw one of these cars with all the original (Collector Series) extras?? Depending on the price sold at I may be able to throw in a few NOS parts .This car is sold as is with tons of paperwork and a California title. This is a 400ci car. I am more than happy to store the car for a couple weeks so you can get the shipping arrangements made.
