This 84 944 was my daily driver from 2003 till August, 2005 when the transmission went out. Due to the insane hours I was putting in during medical school, I didn't get to change the transmission until the following summer. When I changed it I went ahead and installed a short shifter (AEM, I think, about $150). Once I got the transmission in and started it, the sump pan gasket started leaking. I think it dried during sitting all that time. It always leaked a little, but it pretty much sprayed out at this point. So it went on the back burner. The following fall, my parents' place in WV suffered a freak ice storm before leaves had fallen off the trees. The result: the 944 got hit by a large tree branch (messed up the front fender). So I've finally sucked it up and I'm selling it for parts. No reserve. Whoever bids gets it.
