Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1968 AUSTIN MINI 1000 MKII. Color is British racing green with a white top. Vehicle is right-hand drive. I purchased this while I was stationed in England while serving in the military. I purchased it in 2006 and shipped it to the US (Ohio) when I transferred to Japan. It has been kept at my sister’s house in a garage since 2006 and never driven during the winter. It was started occasionally during the winters and driven occasionally during the warm months throughout the past 4 years. It fired right up last week. Vehicle is fueled by unleaded gasoline, but a lead supplement liquid is required to be added to each tank-full. This lead supplement is available for a few dollars at any auto parts store. It is an excellent runner and definitely a head-turner, but still needs some finer attention to detail to make it a spectacular car. See the photos for the overall excellent look of the car. For full disclosure, here is a list of things that I have noticed that need attention: 1. Door cards and inside roof covering are temporary and not needed, however, both can be purchased from specialty stores. 2. Passenger side door has a minor crack in the hinge. 3. Passenger side window doesn’t slide open. 4. Temperature gauge on dash is non-functional and does not affect the performance of the car. 5. Chrome molding along base of car needs to be securely attached and can be purchased from specialty store. I have all paperwork from when I owned it in England and I have it registered in Ohio with its own plates. The plates that are on it in the picture are the original plates from England. I keep those on the car and display the Ohio plate in the window. Vehicle is exempt from all inspections since it is an antique. States may vary. Buyer makes all arrangements for payment and local pickup or delivery. I will not ship the car. My brother-in-law has power of attorney and can act in my place regarding all legal matters concerning the sale of this car as I am currently stationed in Washington state. Vehicle is sold as is, no returns, refunds or discounts. Deposit of US $500.00 within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment required within 3 days of auction close. PAYPAL PREFERRED! Certified cashiers check from US bank accepted. Email via Ebay with any questions.
