Vehicle Detail
Hi, Up for bid is a 1967 Beetle. It was a family project car, that needs some finishing to enjoy. The car has been turned into an offroad baja bug. It has a wide eye, flip frontend, an Up Your Bug body lift kit, a 1973 transaxle with swingaxles, high back bucket seats, and several newer things like,, door panels, fire extinguisher, shift nob, rearveiw mirror, all four brakes including some of the lines. The body is in good condition. A large portion of the floor pans have been removed and replaced with sheet metal. The doors are off a different year. And the glass is all there. The baja kit has had some novice repairs done to it, and is a bit rough. But it is useable the way it is. The body has a few dents and dings and needs paint. But there is no rot. The engine bock number starts with a 9, but I do not know the displacement. It has an aftermarket exhaust, a solex carburetor and it runs really good. Wheels in the front are narrow and the rears are a wide 9 1/2 inches. There is no heat or seat belts. The car was getting new brakes and some wiring was to be done at the time the project stopped. That is why it needs some finishing. The left rear brakes still need to be installed and right rear needs taken apart and cleaned. A new wheel cylinder, brake shoes and a spring & clips set for the left rear is included with the car. The wiring needs work, it was planned to do some wiring at the time of the brake job. The family is no longer at one place and the project stopped there, in mid brake job. After putting the car back together so it could be moved, it will not start. So, it just needs the brakes finished and some minor wiring work to enjoy offroad. To put it on the street it will need seat belts, as there are none. There is also no heater, so no defroster. The windsheild wipers are not on the car, but they are included. It has not been licensed for street use since 2000, so it would need tags as well. So since it won't start and it doesn't have tags it will need to be trailered or towed. Overall this is a great car that needs a little work to be able to enjoy. It already has a lot of things done for a baja, and will make an excellent start for someone. The car has a clear Oregon title. I would like to have payment in full and the car picked up within 14 days. The car is being sold in As Is Condition and arrangements to move/pick up the car is the responsibility of the purchaser. Thanks for looking. Any questions?
