Another bidder ruined the auction. Bought it, but wouldn't pay. Vanished from the face of the earth. Please do not bid unless you intend to pay. I don't have the time to waste. Car runs well, with new glow plugs. Car qualifies for antique status in Virginia, hence no inspection sticker. There are a few problems, which I will gladly list below. I have title in hand. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping. I can help accommodate shipping, as long as it is picked up in the afternoon, evening, or weekend (I have a job). Please ask any and all questions. Car is being offered locally, and I reserve the right to cancel auction early. No reserve. Quick sale, as I want it out of my driveway. I purchased on Ebay via someone retracting their bid with 4 minutes to go, but I was already purchasing a second Mercedes, so I wound up with two. I don't need two. I don't want two. The person I bought it from drove it to my house from about 100 miles away, without any issues. I have driven it a few miles without issues, but just around the neighborhood. True mileage is unknown, as the title states the same as the odemeter. Again, probably a fuse. The good - cheap transportation. Everyone knows the Mercedes 300 series diesels last. The bad - Cosmetically flawed. It's almost 30 yrs old. Has a few rust spots, which I have included pictures. Tires are about 60% All hold air; none are "bald". Driver's side rear window does not work; could be a fuse, a motor, or a switch. Antennae does not go up or down. Dashboard lights do not work. Tachometer does not work. Again, could be as simply as a fuse. Don't know. All lights worked as late as today. If you try to take off like a dragster, the transmission will slip, and will drop into drive once the RPM's come down; if you pull out normal, everything works great. Normal for this model / year car. Interior is fair. Nothing to brag about, but it is 30 yrs old. Battery is dead, but that's because I left the headlight switch in the wrong position. I'll charge the battery and have it running when the new owner picks up the car. Bring your own plates, as I do not have any. I can't think of anything else, but please ask. I'll be very honest. On Mar-24-10 at 12:13:11 PDT, seller added the following information: A/C compressor kicks in and such...air is not super cool so I would suggest a recharge?
