I have a '99 Red Jeep XJ Sport that is in fair shape and runs great/strong, it has the "bulletproof" straight/inline six motor. Just hit 170k miles. No offroading has been done with this XJ, only minor dirt roads and such to get to hunting spots and the like. Well maintained for all its life as I've owned it since 30k, I own a business with lots of heavy iron/equipment so my maintenance schedules are very regular. Couple years back I put a 1" leaf spring in the rear pack due to rear end sagging issues, so it is slightly raked out now. Lots of parts have been replaced already... A/C, fuel pump, spark plugs, serpentine belt, starter, battery, antennae, rotors and pads on brakes, brake lines, etc... Aluminum rims with all terrains. K&N Filter. After market front shocks. Nice CD player and speakers all around. Minor body work - some sheet metal welding w/ the MIG has been done already. The condition of the body is fair, some minor dents and scrapes from over the years. The past problems were listed in the replaced list, the current problems are these: the rear window was smashed out as was the small side window in the rear drivers side by some punks who broke into recently. The glass and glue etc. has already been cleaned up so its ready for a new window. You can get them both for $50 at a bone yard. The drivers side window cable snapped, the motor still works to move it it is just disconnected, so the window doesn't go up or down any longer, and is being propped up currently. A quick search on the web provided an easy fix to connect the cable and window again. And in the picture the inside of the door is off and I do still have that. There are a couple of burn marks from the vandals as well. One of the rocker panels needs to be ground down and painted, due to rust, if you want to inspect the rig in MA and get it back on the road. The stock bumper needs to be put back on, which I have. Cable handle to pop hood snapped off, easily opened with a pair of channel locks. Needs a rear taillight. The exhaust has a hole in it, again if your in MA it will need to be fixed and if your decent at welding should be relatively easy. It needs a cowl on the hood to house the windshield squirters. It runs and starts great, four wheel drive is solid, well maintained drive train, just a solid machine ... A few fixes and it will be exceptional again, I just have so many projects going on right now I don't have time for her any more plus the girl friend wants a bike soon seeing as how the riding season is here.Thanks for looking.
