Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a very rare Ford Super Camper Special F350 Truck,1 of 2300 made between late 1973 to 1979. They were only made in 2WD, They used the HD Tow truck Chassis. HD Dana 70 rear axle. This one has the 3.73 ratio, with limited slip. This truck has the 2 barrel 390 engine, and the granny NP 435 4 speed trans. Power steering and front power disc brakes, slider window, spare tire is located in the SIDE of the bed, making the bed unique to this model. The good; No rust,( a west coast truck its whole life) body original, and very straight, drives well, tight , trans shifts well ,clear title, smog exempt in most states including California. 2 sets of tires, spare rear fuel tank, rear slider window [dark tint] and an uncracked windshield. Plus, any other little things I have for it.It has the original window sticker, showing how it was built, all the old registrations. The lights and heater work, as do the wipers. The not so good; Well, its orange, you either love it or hate it,its everywhere on the truck. It has a 390,not the 460 it shows to have been ordered with,as is the case with a 4 speed, and not the auto it seems to have originally had. An Oakland Transport co. sticker was installed in 1976,showing a modification,I assume the engine/trans swap was done then. The 390 is tired, It has low oil pressure, and tics once in a while. The dash pad is cracked, the A/C has parts missing. The dome lamp does not work. Ok,the scoop, I bought this as a platform for a 4WD project a few years back.It has really just been sitting at my ranch.I have started it once in a while and have moved it around. The brakes work,it drives.Would I drive it to New York? no,to reno, maybe. I would recommend shipping it. Its your call. Remember, its 36 years old, but, easy to work on! Thanks for looking, inspections welcome, please ask all questions before bidding, cell # 510-697-2515 Will get it to yuor shipper in Sacramento Ca. if needed.Sold "AS IS " Without and warranty. NO RESERVE!
