This is a one owner, 1962 Mercedes-Benz 220SE Coupe!! The car is equipped with the 6 cylinder motor, rear wheel drive and a 4 speed manual transmission!! This Mercedes was bought brand new in Europe by the one and only female owner. She drove the car around Europe and than brought it here to the states with her. First, they mooved to Beverly Hills, California, than to Aspen, Colorado and finally here to Ashland, Oregon. The body is clean and the paint still shines nice. There are no major dents, just some small dings and scratches expected for the age of the vehicle. The car was repainted/restored at one point, many years ago. There is some rust showing, bubbling through the paint in places around the car, please see pictures. Also, there is a spot on the trunk lid where the paint and looks like some body filler have chipped off, the spot has been touched up with paint, please see pictures. The paint is flaking and chipping off in other parts/spots throughout the car, mainly on the trunk and roof, please see pictures. All of the chrome on the car is in great condition aside for the chrome molding around the rear window, it's bent on the passengers corner, please see pictures. The car has been adult owned and has never been abused in any way! The tires are cracked from sitting and will need to be replaced in the near future. The interior is in good condition and appears to be all original. All of the guages work good. The headliner is in good condition as well, please see pictures. The factory manual sun roof works great, however the windows are hard to roll up and down. The wood is starting to split apart and the front and mainly rear seat has some cracks on the top next to the rear window, please see pictures. Also the clip on the drivers side sun visor is broken. The odometer shows 51k miles, however we are not sure if it had turned over, the lady could not remember. The motor runs great and the transmission shifts smooth, the car has been very well taken care of and always serviced on time! This Mercedes had a complete engine rebuild at one point, however we do not have the records on that. The motors smokes a little at start up and the brakes pull a little. The car has had very little use over the past 10 years or so, therefore very few miles have been logged on. This is a good running and driving Mercedes-Benz and the car is fun to drive, but please keep in mind that the car has been sitting around and therefore will need to be gone through before it can be taken on a long trip or used as a daily driver!! Please keep in mind that this is an older vehicle and is not in new condition. Please expect normal wear and tear for a vehicle of this age and miles, this is not a brand new vehicle and it is not perfect!!
