Vehicle Detail

C101 open body with Dauntless V6 225 oddfire. T86 Transmission, Dana 20 transfer. 80,449 miles on the odometer - not sure if accurate or not - from what I can tell and my best guess, it is correct with original motor and tranny, Purchased for restoration but due to job/travel and other projects i'm unable to keep and complete this Jeepster. It is in solid mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has been in storage for the last 4 years in a climate controlled storage facility. I've listed a breakdown of everything i know and have on the Jeepster and it's history. Mechanical - it shifts good and solid. 4 Wheel drive high and low engages and works good. It has Dual-Matic lockouts on the front. I've had it out for the last few months and it shows no sign of oil leaks except for a few drops during that time. I replaced the ignition switch due to a broken key so there are 2 keys for ignition but none for the doors. Has new plugs and wires. I also replaced the starter and put new battery cables in. The motor runs strong. Doesn't smoke and will fire up easily. Ther is an Alternator problem - see electrical below. Cosmetic/Body - there are 2 bad spots on the body. 1-the right rear 1/4 oanel over the marker light looks like someone tried to fix a rust spot and did a poor job and painted over it. 2-is the drivers side floor pan at the door. It's right at the edge but doesn't go back any further. It's approx 20' long X 1 1/2" wide. I put in pics of both of these spots. There are 3 tops with this Jeepster. Hardtop w/ tinted glass, soft-top I never used or even put this on so I don't know if I have all the hardware for it or not and a tanneau cover that is aftermarket for it - the zipper on it needs to be replaced. See pics of all 3. It was painted before we got it. The original color from what I can tell was white. The paint jobs is not perfect and is a bit rough up close but from a distance looks fine. I went over the body with a covered magnet and didn't find any bondo. Electrical - There is a short in the system somewhere. I haven't found it but from the Jeepster BB i've been on it's probably the alternator. The Amp light on the dash stays lit and drains the battery. I have ordered parts to fix but have no time to install.I was planning on re-wiring anyway so i will have everything to fix this with the Jeepster. Headlights, tailights, blinkers, hazards, inside lights all work. The back side markers and 1/2 of the dash guage panel lights don't work. Spares/New parts - I have some spare parts and have ordered some parts - here is a list Spare - 4 hubcaps original and in good shape. 2 have the Jeep centers installed, 2 don't. 3 Jeep centers for hubs all in great condition. 1 starter switch dash insert. 2 new gas shocks. 2 side mirrors-not original. Box of assorted hardware(nuts, bolts, spacers, etc...). Grill emblem - I put it on while taking pics. See pics. New parts - Wiring harness for Jeepster with V6 226 Dauntless, Delco 10si Alternator, Wiring for Delco 10si, Distributor Cap, Rear lens marker, Gas Cap and new hood latches. Not pictured but will come with the vehicle. I have the title in hand. I do have it for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I also have all of the records for this Jeepster from 1989 thru 2010. The previous owners kept a copy of everything including Original Manual, manual copy, wiring diagrams, about 250 to 300 recpts and notebooks with hand written records. FYI - it was registered in Colorado Springs in 1989 and brought to N. Carolina around 2004. We've had it since 2006. I have gone through the whole vehicle and believe it is in original condition and has never been wrecked or altered. Most of the info I got came from the Jeepster BB and people who deal with these on a regular basis. I have everything as accurate as I cam but if you see something questionable, let me know and i'll research it and make changes to the add if necessary. Buyer is responsible for arranging pickup. No checks or money orders - Cash or Cashiers check only. Buyer to contact seller within 48 hrs of purchase to arrange money transfer and pickup. 2433jeffc@comcast.net
