1974 Plymouth Duster – BEAUTIFUL ARIZONA CAR! Classic Autoworx is proud to offer this beautiful 1974  Plymouth Duster for your consideration. This car features a strong 360 4v V8 and a newly rebuilt automatic transmission The steering and suspension was rebuilt as needed and aligned. Original Rallye wheels have been added wrapped in new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. This Duster features Power Steering and Power Disc brakes which have been recently rebuilt and work flawlessly! A fun to drive weekend or daily Muscle Car is what this car is offering!  The Plymouth Duster was originally built as a light weight competitor to Ford’s new Maverick as well as Chevrolet’s Nova and due to the ever rising values of other Mopars,  A-Body Mopars such as this one have become very popular and are likely to see their values soar over the next few years as they have within the last 3 years.  This car is a beautiful example of a nice, but not over restored Mopar that can be driven daily or just on nice days if you desired. The Duster has been recently freshened up with new paint, carpet, rebuilt engine and trans and new exhaust system.   The 360ci V8 was rebuilt  around 20,000  miles ago. It features an Edelbrock Performer intake and an Edelbrock 4v carburetor, as well as a Comp Cams mild camshaft. It  run's very well and is a reliable workhorse,  however the new 750cfm Edelbrock carb seems to be too much for it and it could use a rejet in my opinion. The exact original mileage of the vehicle is believed to be 103,XXX .  The 360  is tastefully dressed in mostly original appointments with chrome breathers. Original features to this car are A/C, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes . The A/C compressor is missing as are much of the other original A/C components under the hood. The car has a new aluminized exhaust system, which features dual turbo mufflers that provide the proper muscle car sound.. This is an “honest” car that is tidy and has a complete feel about it. It’s not overly restored but holds it’s own when parked amongst other muscle cars. There is room for improvement but looks better than most!.   The automatic transmission is a 904 which has been rebuilt within the last 500 miles.  No known issues with the original 8 ¼”rear end. The body and paint on the car are straight enough for a driver and generally very nice about a 7 on a scale of 1-10.  The paint is about a year old and has been repainted in beautiful and original Eggshell White, with black 360 stripes. There are no scratches or chips on the car that we’ve noticed, but it is not a show car. It was built to be a very nice driver. The car could benefit from a color sand and buff, however it is gorgeous the way it is. There are flaws but nothing horrible. You’d miss them if you weren’t looking for them. The car looks beautiful and gets looks and thumbs ups everywhere it goes. Its very nice and people young and old can appreciate the beauty of this car. . The frame, floor pans, spare tire well...etc. are very solid, straight  and in good shape. The frame rails look to be perfectly straight. The chrome is in good original condition, very shiny and straight. This is truly an original Arizona car. Glass is good, windshield has a small chip, no cracks, some minor pitting due to age. Driver and passenger side windows roll up and down properly, side rear quarter windows have optional pop-out feature. The weatherstripping looks to have been replaced at some point. The interior of the car is mostly original and in great shape! The carpet is new, however the rest of the interior is mostly original. A new Blaupunkt CD player has been added, as well as 6x9 speakers in the rear deck, kick panel speakers and Blaupunkt Amplifier in the trunk.   The dash is original and shows a bit of wear however it’s not destroyed. It does have a couple of small cracks which can be seen in the interior pictures. The gauges all work, as well as gauge lighting. All door panels are original in great condition. The seat covers are original both front and rear and show use but are in great condition given their age. The interior overall is in excellent condition for a car this age in Arizona. The original steering wheel is in good condition. The horn works as do the turn signals and turn signal canceling cam. The heater core was also recently replaced and works great.
