Vehicle Detail
This is a 1968 Javelin SST with an all numbers matching drivetrain: 343 V8, Borg Warner M11B Flashomatic automatic transmission, 12 bolt positraction rearend. This is 1 of 902 produced with this drivetrain. It has power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning. The door tag is there and intact. The motor (343 V8 280 HP) and transmission have both been rebuilt and run strong. I haven't driven the car in a couple of years but should fire up without to much trouble( needs a coil wire, battery, and if it were me firing it up i would thake the carborator off and check it for dry fuel and sediment. The car has the original Carter AFB 4 barrel carborator. The interior and radio are original, obviously it needs completely restored. The body is rough shape, but is still intact and very restorable with all of the parts available on ebay. The passenger door will not open, see photos. I've owned this car since 1993. Before that it was owned by my uncle for several years. I beleive I am either the 6th or 7th owner. I was driving this car up until a couple of years ago( ran great) when the wheel studs stripped out of the front hub(needs replaced-available on ebay). I parked it then and haven't been able to get to it since( you know how it is-2 jobs, kids, house) there is never enough time to fix anything. I had planned to restore it, but now I have a daughter getting ready to start 4 years of college so I need to find as much money as I can. I decoded it as best I can so mhere goes: 1 of 902 produced with the 343 V8 and Borg Warner cast iron case M11B Flashomatic transmission( I always thought it was interestring that the transmission is from AMC as everybody knows that they were known for using Chrysler transmissions) It was produced on April 5 1968 on the East Assembly Line at the Kenosha,WI plant eith a sequential serial number of 202607 1 of 967 produced with air conditioning Interior package 835-D: Red Strata Stripped fabric reclining bucket seats Paint code is 39-A Matador Red A-1895F Body tag on door : Body 45788 Model 6879-7 Trim 835-D Paint 39-A E045797 Overall the car is numbers matching, rare and very restoable. The tires are old, but should hold air long enough to move car. The car will need towed! Buyer is responcible for pickup. Payment is thru paypal or cash only- NO EXCEPTIONS! A $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is reqiured via paypal within 3 days of the end of auction. The balance of payment and pickup are due within 14 days of the end of auction. I will air the tires up and assist you on loading it on a trailer. The car is located in Baxter Springs, KS( center of America, right on Route 66). Good luck bidding.
