Vehicle Detail
This vehicle is sold "as-is", for parts only. This Mustang has lots of great parts since the car has been mechanically sound and driven regularly until recently. The motor, transmission, etc are still in running condition and have low mileage. My son hydroplaned this car when he was home from college at Thanksgiving and it's been sitting in the driveway since then. He purchased this car 2 years ago with the car having only about 55K miles on it the. He has driven the car for about 20K miles since purchasing it without any problems until the accident. The accident doesn't appear to have caused any major damage since he just slid off the road and did not hit any other vehicles. Just some big dents in the fenders and hood, along with popping three tires and bending the rims from going over a curb. There might be some damage to the frame near the front of the car from going over the curb. The car still starts up just fine even after sitting in our driveway for the last 4 months. Mechanically this Mustang has always been very reilable and it only has 77K miles. This Mustang was a very depenable and still looks pretty sharp in spite of the damages (see pictures). The engine is strong and starts right up and does not leak any oil. In addition, the convertible top works fine (see below). The top itself does not have any tears, but it does have several stains that appear to be from parking under trees. The antilock braking system light might have a problem since the ABS light came on a couple of weeks prior to the accident. In addition, the CD radio is intermittent. My son has driven this for about 20,000 miles and it has been running just fine, all the time, since he purchased it. I suspect it wouldn't take a lot to get this car back in driveable condition since the damage is primarily cosmetic. However, when we purchased this car three years ago we found out it was already on a Salvage Title from an earlier accident prior to us purchasing it. They did a great job of repairing everything before we purchased it since the car looked and drove great before the accident. I took a lot of pictures to give a sense of the overall condition and am happy to answer any question you might have on it. In addition, you can schedule time to see this prior to the end of the auction. I will defiitely be available over the weekend if you would like to see the car then. Again, this is a great running Mustang that is being sold "As-is" for parts only. Buyer will need to have this towed on a flatbed and will need to remove the car within 7 days of the auction end.
