Vehicle Detail
1958 Chevy Pickup big back window fleetside This is the start of a frame off restoration. Truck was original from OK. The truck is very clean. I bought the fleetside box a few years ago from a guy that took it off in 1959 for a camper conversion. The only body work on the box was when I filled the stake pocket holes. The white on the letters on the tailgate that say Chevrolet is the original! The truck was blue when i got it and instead of just painting it flat black, my buddy mixed up a blue to match the best he could. So the box and back of the cab were painted to match the rest of the truck. The truck was all faded out so we didn't want to wreck the patina by buffing it. There are chips and nicks in it. It's a fun driver! This winter, the truck was completely disassembled the cab corners had a few small holes so instead of just patching it up it was done the right way new inners and outs were installed (see pictures) someone put the steps in before i got it.The floor still has the original primer on it. (see pictures) I put a 1974 Z28 Camaro front stub in it which gives you disc brakes, power steering, independent suspension, sway bar and a great ride. Out back a 1974 Z28 3.42 posi which was flipped on top of the leafs and the frame was C notched and gas shocks were added. I moved the fuel tank from behind the seat to the back of the truck to give more leg room in the cab. The frame was wire brushed and primed and painted. All new brake lines and fuel lines were added. The motor is out of my buddy's 1979 Camaro. It's a rebuilt 350 and turbo 350 trans with approx. 7000 miles on it. He removed it for a more radical motor. I don't have any paperwork on it but I trust him and it rund and sounds great! It sat for a few years so I put on a new water pump, intake gaskets, 1 wire alt., starter, fuel pump, all new belts & hoses so it won't leave you stranded. It has brand new aluminum fat radiator. 2 1/2 stainless steel dual exhaust with flowmasters. It sounds good!!! Truck has approx. 30 miles since frame off. It has new white pleated interior done by Dan Frank upholstery, a tilt column, and a 1963 Impala wheel. The inside is painted 2004 Jaguar blue metallic/ white base clear. It has all new 21 circuit wiring, CD/ MP3 player & Sony speakers. The truck runs and drives great!! The ONLY reason I am selling is because I bought a 1955 Cameo. I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ANY TRADES! ' Must have $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hrs. of auction end. The balance is paid by cash or cleared check when you pick it up. I tried to explain this truck to the best of my knowledge.
