Vehicle Detail
COMPLETE 1952 CHEVROLET DELUXE! This is a car that is ripe for completing either to original condition or for a slight customization. Truly a solid car given the year. You can note some rust around the wheel wells and on the right side rocker panel. The fender skirts are in tact and the body is otherwise in pretty good shape. Does need floor board work. Story-I bought this from an auction about a year ago as the body shop was going out of business. The shop owner was the owner of the vehicle and had stored the car inside his warehouse since the early 80's (plate). He removed the radiator and carburator which come with the car. The motor turns so I have no reason to believe it is tied up but I cannot say for sure what is wrong or why it was taken off the road unless he too had delusions of "someday" getting to this project. Well, me too and someday seems so far away that I want someone with more time than me to get it fixed up. I literally had it towed from the body shop to my storage garage and haven't touched it (except for trying to spray off the pigeon poop). It is green with the Powerglide transmission; the trunk is big enough for 8 sets of golf clubs or a Volkswagon (kidding) and the interior has been around a long time and is very tired. Glass is all in good shape and the chrome is descent for the year (inside storage). You get what I have with the car and I even made some additional keys. That is all I really know. Pick-up at your expense but certainly I will assist in getting it loaded. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding. Oh, if you are looking for a little newer, "instant hit" car, my 2005 Anniversary T-Bird is coming up soon.(when the sun comes out again) Yep, ridding the toys in my garage and am going to just enjoy the bicycle this year. New Years resolution! (and suggestion from my wife!) On Mar-28-10 at 17:04:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Add: Carburator may not be the original for the car. A fellow e-bayer was apparently at the auction where I purchased the car and has sent me a question (statement) that the carburator that was with the car was not the correct one. Not sure if this is accurate as I stated, you get what I got. I do not have any manual to cross-reference. I like to give you all as much information as I have. Thank you. On Mar-30-10 at 11:09:46 PDT, seller added the following information: I had some inquiry as to the condition of the floorboards and so I went back to my storage garage to look and yes, they will need some work. Not that anyone looking at this car would expect differently but I thought I would let you all know. Thank you I had to relist this item as there was a dead-beat buyer. Never responded to e-mail or telephone calls. First issue with Auction Style on E-bay so I guess I have been lucky. To protect myself, I will cancel your bid if you have less 0-5 activities or rating of less than 95% to give true e-bayers a shot at this deal. Call with questions--419-438-7517. Thanks On Apr-15-10 at 18:43:23 PDT, seller added the following information: T-Bird is no longer available and Chevy is being offered locally and may sell prior to auction ending. I did this due to the prior sale via e-bay going south as the buyer placed a fraudulant bid and never responded to me or E-Bay after several requests. Thank you for understanding but the goal is to sell, not mess around with insincere bidders!
