This is a 'No Reserve' auction for a 1991 Mercury Capri. I volunteer for a non profit charity called Step 13, (www.step13.org). We have a car donation program. This car was donated to us. As a result I don't have a whole lot of history with it. What I do know is: the folks who donated it to us bought it in 2004. They seem to have taken pretty good care of it. There are a few door dings that don't show up well in the pics but other than that it's very clean. Glass is good but has some pitting. Dash has a cover on it. Convertible top in very nice shape. Carpet on driver's feet has worn thru in spots. Our mechanic says it runs great. No major issues. The driver's side front CV joint is starting to click on a tight turn... doesn't need to be replaced yet but will at some point. If you plan on bidding and you live out of state I always suggest to people that they transport cars just because we don't have any history with them. I hate to see people fly in, get in and just drive off. While this Capri seems solid it just makes me nervous to see you get on the highway and drive off into the sunset without knowing the car a little better. But obviously this is your choice. Please don't ask me if I think it'll make it to Topeka or Tacoma. I have no idea. All I can say is it's running well right now and it seems like a solid car. We have a dealer's license so all the dealer paperwork has to be completed before pick up and if you live in Colorado we have to collect the applicable taxes. But we will give you a temp tag and registration. That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge! We don't have a 'Buy it Now' price but will consider a strong offer. And if, for some reason, it sells below $1000 we will be charging $150 dealing handling fee to do all the paperwork. Sorry, but it does take us alot of time to do all that. If you have '0' feedback please email me before bidding. If you buy it we need a deposit withing 24 hours and full payment within 3 days. In addition to wanting it paid for in full within 3 days we'd also like it picked up within 3 days. We're in downtown Denver and space is at a premium. Obviously, if you're far away we can try to work with you but we don't want to have to store it for more than a week. We need it moved ASAP. So please don't bid if you can't get it soon.
