1968 VW Bug Sunroof EMPI GTV clone with factory sunroof. Arizona car without rust! It has a 4 speed manual transmission with a 1776 dual port engine professionally rebuilt by Tom Bowman in Phoenix about 5 years ago. This bug was repainted and new upholstery about 5 years ago. I have owned it for about three years and since then I have put in new fuel tank and lines, tires, clutch and pressure plate, bumpers,motor & transmission mounts, new nose cone on the transmission, new carburetor and new battery. The paint still is shiney and looks good. It has a few dings and dents. The rear apron needs work and the hood has a ding on the handle area. The car is very fun to drive and it draws smiles, waves and tons of questions and stories. It starts, runs, drives and stops very well. All the windows and sunroof open and close great! I added the EMPI accessories to clone the EMPI GTV Beetles of the 60's and 70's. It won 1st Place in 2010 Copperstate Classic and took 3rd Place at 2010 Bug O Rama! Some of the EMPI accessories are: The stripe kit, bumper guards, rear chrome tail lights, license plate frame, Empi Sprint Star wheels with caps, GTV steering wheel, EMPI Air Cleaner, Empi Chrome Crank and generator pulley covers and belt guard, and rear pop out windows. I installed low back seats and a functioning period AM radio. The bug is not in perfect shape, it needs a few things; sunroof needs seals, the blinkers dont blink, back up lights not working, master cylinder reservoir needs to be replaced. Leaks a few drops of oil. Gas gauge is intermitent. I have never shipped a car so if you want it shipped you'll have to make the arangements. I can deliver it into Phoenix area. Clean Arizona title.
