This is a great running car in very nice condition. Very low miles, under 50K!!! Take a look at the pictures. Winning bidder can drive it home! This is a very nice running, reliable car. I have disclosed everything below, every quirk and every noise and dent/scratch that I know about. This car has been in my family for about 6.5 years. When my dad purchased it back then it had just over 28,000 miles on it. He drove the car around his small town and for short (30 miles RT) freeway trips for the next 5 years. He took very good care of the car. I’ve used it to commute (11 miles RT) to/from work a couple of times a month and for short trips around town for the last 18 months or so as an alternative to my primary car. Looking to simplify the life a bit and free up some curb space so I’m selling this car. THE HIGHLIGHTS This is a 1998 Pontiac SUNFIRE 4 door- 4 Cylinder and GOOD MPG. Green in color. Body decent, few nicks and dings see below. I get around 25 MPG in the city, haven't done much highway driving at all. My dad used to say it got close to 30 MPG on the freeway when he drove it, but I cannot confirm as I've only driven the car around town. Nice STYLE and BODY and a Sporty appearance Air conditioning is very cold, works great. ECONOMICAL to DRIVE! Runs great. Brand new battery as of August 2009. Automatic Transmission is SOLID, shifts perfectly AM/FM Stereo and CD Player work and sound perfect. Manual locks and windows Heater works well, gets nice and warm in winter. All NECESSARY repairs to insure operation were done as needed. Only needed to take in to shop twice in 6.5 years. The car has 49,151 miles on it. We have owned for about 21,000 of those miles. It has been and continues to be a great, reliable car. The Rest of the Details… The only trouble that I’ve ever had with the car came last summer when the alternator failed. I had the alternator replaced and a brand new battery installed at that time. Engine has some oil seepage. I’ve not noticed any pooling or dripping. Occasionally you can smell a slight oil scent, not all the time. Squeaking noise from front brakes. May need to replace soon. Squeaking starts when front brakes applied and sometimes persists after pedal is released. Small dent (pictured) in right front quarter panel. Some door dings in both passenger and driver side doors A couple of scratches around key hole on driver side. A scuff on driver side front quarter panel A scuff/scratch on the rear bumper A few other minor scuffs and scratches, nothing major or really noticeable. That is it, there are no sounds from the engine that I’m concerned about and the car drives and handles very well. Everything here is disclosed to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking.On Apr-14-10 at 18:13:16 PDT, seller added the following information: I took the car down and washed it today and noticed a couple of small things that I thought I would post. None of these items are noticeable from any distance, only when you are up close like when washing the car. There are some scratches on the hood on the passenger side up toward the windshield.2 small spots (less than 1/4 or 1/8" in diameter) of rust on the hood also on the passenger side.A small scuff exists under the headlight on the passenger side. Looks like someone backed into the car there, very small, 2-3 inches total.There is a slight discoloration on the window frame between the front and back doors on the driver's side. Not very noticeable, but there. Again, none of this is major and none is visible standing back from the car, just when you get up next to it.
