Vehicle Detail
I have a 1974 AMC Javelin that I bought off the original owner a year ago, this car has 60700 original miles on her. i have an extensive ammount of original paper work to go with this car. I have the original loan papers, the original dealer invoice, the certicard, the owners manual & consumer information guide, the "Sold Tag" and just about all the registrations from 1974 till about 1999. The woman that bought this car back in 1974 passed away around 1999, her husband left it buried in the garage under boxes & bags & Etc. for about 10 years until he decided that he could use the room in the garage for something else. A good friend of mine knew I was into AMC's & asked if I would like to check out a 60K original mile car that his friend had, I wasn't really in the market for another AMC since I currently have 2 AMX's & 2 SC/Ramblers. But, when I saw it with the Bias Ply tires on AMC Factory rims & I saw the Orange paint scheme, with the gold stripe & vynal top I couldn't resist. ( This car shouts out the 70's) The car has a 304ci with a 2 Barrel ,automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes.( Which I just put 2 new front brake calipers & Brake pads in yesterday) Remember the car sat for 10yrs. Last year when I first bought it i had $600.00 Custom Flow Master Duel Exhaust installed, this car "Sounds" like it has a 390 ci in it. I spent about 2 weeks totally detailing the car, repainting the front grill & brackets, repainting the engine & alot of the componants. I'm going to do my best showing the good & the bad on the body of the car. From what i was told, the car had some body work & a total paint job done about 20-25yrs ago. When I bought this car, I decided it would make a great cruiseing car, so I decided not to restore it, but, rather detail it & take it to the local cruise nights. The car had body work done to both rear quarters behind the wheels & the front passenger side fender deffinitly had some filler on it, I will show both of these area's in the pictures. The hood release from inside the car broke, the cable snapped, easy fix. I made a temporary pull from the outside, works good. If you need any other pictures just ask & I will try to add it as soon as I can. I really hate to sell this car (Since I grew up in the 70's & This car is deffinitly Cool) But the economy took it's toll on me & that has forced me to sell a few of my toys. This is a *No Reserve* auction, starting less than I paid for it before all the work I put into it. thanks for looking & Good luck! I also have the car For Sale locally & reserve the right to pull this ad....... I will not pull this ad if there is a Bid on it, as soon as I see a Bid on this car, the For Sale sign on the car will come off & it will sell to the Ebay Buyer. P.S. I do not have a Title for this car, Rhode Island doesn't require a Title for any car older than 10 yrs old, I do have the original title & can also provide a Bill Of Sale & my current registration card. This car was sold to the original owner from E.P Fournier Co Inc. Pawtucket R.I. for $4496.02 *** Remember this car is 36 years old & sat for 10+ years - This is not a show car by any means, it does have it's body issues, that I tried to show in the pictures, but it is a very good looking daily driver.***
