This is a very nice 1975 Suzuki GT550 Indy. It has been lovingly restored by our company in Xenia, OH...Williams Vintage Cycle. We have been in the business of restoring and supplying parts for Vintage Japanese motorcycles for over 10 years (specializing in Suzuki GT / T bikes). This bike has 16,450 miles. The paint and chrome are all original. The paint looks very nice and shines well. The chrome is typical of 70's Japanese chrome...it shines well, but has some pitting...some places worse than others. The seat has been recovered with an exact replica quality seat cover from Pit Replica (we've tried a bunch, and they make the best reproduction covers). Gas tank is clean inside (see pic). The bike starts easily and runs very well. The GT550's have both electric and kick start, and both work well on this bike. All of the gauges, lights, and switches are in proper working order. This bike has a clean & clear Ohio Title in our company name, ready to transfer to you. Here is a partial list of some of the work accomplished, and parts replaced during the restoration: We start with refreshing the powerplant...injection oil and trans oil were both replaced with new. The ignition points were filed, cleaned, gaps adjusted, and ignition timing set to Suzuki OEM specs. New spark plugs. The carburetors have been overhauled....we completely disassemble them, ultrasonic clean all the metal parts, the rubber boots were all replaced with OEM Suzuki parts, floats tested and replaced if they leak, float needles replaced if they don't hold with no leaks for at least 30 mins, then float levels set to Suzuki spec, carbs reassembled (new parts as needed), bench sync slides and reinstall on bike. New air filters installed in airbox. The original starter clutch on these bikes are a known weakness, and this bike was no exception...so we performed the Suzuki service bulletin that upgrades to the more heavy duty 76-77 style starter clutch...so no more starter clutch worries. After all engine work complete, engine and carbs tuned to perfection. The petcock was cleaned and rebuilt with OEM Suzuki rubber bits. The front hydraulic brake was completely gone through, flushed, and rebuilt with all new OEM Suzuki rebuild kits in the master cylinder and caliper, including new pistons. All control cables lubricated. New front and rear tires and tubes installed and balanced. New battery. Drive chain cleaned and lubricated. Basically we go over these bikes from front to back. Anything we find that needs attention (broken, damaged, inoperative), we repair or replace. We also try to keep them as original and period correct as possible. Meaning we use OEM Suzuki parts wherever possible, or quality aftermarket. If we locate wrong year components installed on the bike, when possible we locate the correct component for the year. That said, this bike is over 40 years old, and may have hidden mechanical discrepancies we are unaware of. This bike does NOT come with a warranty of any kind, whether expressed or implied. It is a used motorcycle and sold in AS IS condition.
