1963 Series IV out of long term storage from the original owner. The original 109E 1340cc with a new single downdraft weber starts right up and exhibits good oil pressure when when at full operating temperature 30psi idle 40psi on load. We performed a compression test and found 140 145 150 150 across the board. As the predecessor to the classic Ford Cortina this engine exhibit the same rev happy running characteristics that make a 60's 4/4 so much fun. The original chassis, front subframe and valances are solid and straight. The front end has been rebuilt and exhibits new Koni shocks, kingpins, bushings, main and rebound springs. The rear suspension has been upgraded to Koni tube shocks. Electric fan, coolant gauge and tach installed. Our service department just performed over $4000 worth of work and includes a new Petronix ignition and coil. The service also entailed a complete brake system rebuild including new front calipers, pads, new front wheel bearings and seals, new front and rear flex hoses, brake master cylinder and reservoir, rear wheel cylinders and brake shoes. If someone is looking to fully restore the car they would have to focus on the wood structure. It would require all of the typical replacements associated with the cars, sills, rockers, door and latch posts, wheel arches and rear distance piece. However the car can be driven, preserved and enjoyed as is. Car is a great entry level 60's Morgan roadster that's a blast to drive.
