Vehicle Detail
2001 Ford F150 Supercrew 4.6L V-8. 3rd owner. No service lights on. Shifts smooth. This Being a vehicle it is best you call with any questions or concerns. So message me for number or send number. We Reserve the Right to end early if it has no bids. This truck will sell to the highest bidder. Clear payment must be made in full to my satisfaction before she leaves. If you live local in Southern California we will go to AAA and do the title transfer. This truck is a XLT with clean title in my name and tags are up to date. It has the owners manual, two factory keys fobs, loud factory alarm, factory engine immobilizer, four large doors, new battery, LED lights/ all inside & out, bed-x tend, Durasport bed mat, power windows, Power door locks, ice cold ac, tinted windows, automatic, tow package, K&N air filter, 3 1/2 inch spindle lift FabTech (cost for spindles was $600.00), Off road springs, Off road shocks, 33 inch BF Goodrich tires, side steps, snugtop cover, 5.5 bed, upper control arms, lower control arms, Clunk washers, adjustable upper control arm camber bolts, not used as a daily work truck. Starts right up and runs great - does not overheat. Body is clean but not perfect, truck bed inside is clean with mat, interior is very nice and clean. No accidents body is very straight. We have in the bed the other side step with bag of bolts, original Muffler, plastic cover for rear bumper, Original Spindles, Backing plates, anti sway bar, sway bar links and more bits. I placed the locking snugtop on and have a couple of bolts on the side step driver side to show in the photo. A little History- I am the third owner. The second owner was related to the first. She bought it new drove it to work and such as her car. She kept it until about 1 1/2 half years ago. The kid bought it and raised it up with a spindle lift and larger tires. He took it off roading using as a pre-runner on dirt trails. Within the year he had worn out the ball joints. He was going to get them replaced when he then found another buddy was selling his tricked out cut up Ford F-150 pre-runner and he had to have it. This truck was brought to my attention. I bought thinking it would be good to have a truck for my rental properties. I replace both upper and lower control arms complete with bushings and ball joints. I bought them from O'Riley made in the USA/not the cheaper brand lifetime warranty. I find it just sits most of the time because my MBZ E320 CDI can carry all I need with the aide of small trailer and honestly gets much better fuel economy. I have more photos or can take photos of any area you want more photos of the truck. More details- 1) tires- BF GoodRich the back tires are at 80 to 90% they were on the front. The front tires are at 20 to 30% they were on the back and worn from the trail riding.2) Brakes- stop well disc on all four with ABS.3) Trans- shift smooth downshifts great. Fluid recently changed with filter.4) AC Heater - work as they should.5) Exhaust- Muffler was removed by previous owner. Sitting in the bed now. Sound good not to loud.6) Seats are clean all around. Driver seat has a very slight tear starting- shown in photo. Headliner is in great shape. 7) The roof has some paint fade hard to see because she sits so high.8) The lift is in the front pre-runner style with the front higher than the rear of the truck. No block in the back of the truck.9) The air filter box has tape over it as the previous owner cut a small V to make it sound nice. He was able to smog it like that. My smog guy made me put the V back on and tape over it to pass her.10) Has wiring for a light bar and the switch. Has the holes for the light bar bolts previous owner put it on his new truck. Now the BAD- It will need a alignment due to the new front suspension parts installed.Disclosure- These Fords 4.6 are well know to have slight tick at idle speed in park. You cannot hear it in the truck with the windows up. You can hear very faint with the windows down. If you stand near the fender outside the truck you hear the tick. Place it drive and it is quite and smooth. If you wish to hear it I can send you the audio. Been like this for years does not get better or worse. Definitely not the first Ford I heard at idle with the tick tick tick sound. Miles might go up slightly. Info from All-Data. Valve TrainLash adjusters can make a ticking/tapping noise noticeable at any engine RPM/temperature and is audible through the wheel well or an open hood. However, with the hood down, lash adjuster noise can be heard as a light tapping noise through the wheel well and is considered normal.
