This is one of the very last Morgan Plus 4 4 seaters produced. According to Morgan the very last 4 seater was chassis number 6833. This example is chassis number 6788. We have several pieces of factory documentation that support that this Morgan left the factory on August 9th 1968 and was delivered to Metro Motors in Windsor Canada. We have service records that date back to 1972. The car has the original matching numbers engine as can be seen by the same corresponding engine number stamped into the car's original bonnet hinge. This Morgan is a great solid car that can be driven now but will need some TLC as it has been kept under cover for quite some time. The chassis and underside are showing their age as original. The wood is solid. The rare green interior is original. It's neat to see the original seating along with the original tacked on door panels. This car makes for an excellent original reference car in so many ways. This Morgan is a runner. She starts right up and drives well. We ran a compression test and found 150psi across the board. There has had recent brake work done. The calipers look new and the car stops well and stays straight under hard braking. The Moss gearbox operation is excellent. You can upshift and downshift without syncronization issues and the rear end is quiet. It has a nice fitting tonneau however the convertible top has shrunk and no longer fits. We would also recommend replacement of the rear suspension springs. If you are looking for an entry level reasonably priced Morgan that you can drive now then this is a great car to consider.
