Up for sale is a 1995 Ford Taurus GL Wagon. 3.0 Vulcan V6 Engine, AX4S / AXOD-E Automatic Trans. It has 116k miles, and is in overall very good condition. About a month ago the transmission started acting weird so I replaced it, I gambled on a transmission from a junkyard and it ended up having the same issues as the old one. Rough shift between 1st and 2nd, and no highway gear. It's driveable as is, but I wouldn't drive it on the highway for long. If you're picking it up locally you can drive it home, more than 30 miles I'd trailer it to be safe. I love this car, excellent for hauling, but I can't afford to try and put another transmission it it. If you need wagon parts or can put in a new trans yourself this could be a great deal. Currently registered in Vermont, was inspected as of August.The Good:-Runs and drives, strong engine, not crazy high milage.-I am the third owner, the two before me took very good care of the car, I have a fair amount of the maintenance history-Recent front brakes-New Timing Belt-New radiator-New Muffler-New PCM-New radio-New Wiper blades-Brand new water pump that I never got around to putting in.-Excellent cargo space.The Bad:-Transmission is working, but not well. Definitely recommend fixing or replacing unless you plan on driving under 40mph for the rest of its life.-Speedometer does not work at all, I use a gps.-Odometer stopped working very recently, I think as a result of the unsuccessful transmission swap I did. If you are fixing the trans you'lll be in there, I don't think it's permanently broken. The current odometer reading is correct within 50 mi or so.-Dash clock doesn't work (the new radio has a clock, so no problem!)-The plastic housing around the seat controls is broken.-Headliner has some scratches-2 missing center caps.-Some bumper stickers Text or call 44three-89four-756one for more info, or shoot me a message through ebay.
