NOTE: Vehicle needs engine repair! It will be sold as a "Tow away" despite the fact that it runs - due to the engine condition. This is another NO RESERVE auction on a 2005 Chevrolet K2500 4x4 Suburban equipped with the 8.1liter Vortec engine. It is a "fixer upper" for someone with the knowledge and skill that can repair the engine. It sounds to me like either piston slap or worn rod bearing. Might be both. Either way, the noise is present at higher RPM. It is at the beginning stages, so I'm sure it's not a catastrophic failure yet at this point. It has been driven gently, 40 miles back from the auction, detail shop, and around town. There are no check engine lights on. There are no other warning lights on of any kind. The engine does not smoke, overheat, or lack power. Despite the miles, the transmission shifts crisply and correctly. The 14 bolt disc brake rear axle does not make any noise, and the transfer case looks to have already been replaced at some point. The steering feels tight, and the brakes are as new all the way around. (New rotors and full thickness pads). The air conditioning blows ice cold. This Suburban is definitely worth saving, as they don't make this big block puller anymore. It will tow just about anything you can hook up to it. This will be sold to the highest bid at the end of this auction, so bid often and bid high! BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This 2005 Suburban 2500 4x4 is being offered exactly as seen. It will make someone a nice, heavy duty ride when you're done. This Suburban will need some type of significant engine work. There is a noise coming from the bottom end. There are 24 pictures of this Suburban which should illustrate and cover most of your cosmetic questions. The paint and body have minor imperfections, including door dings, scratches, etc., which should be expected from a vehicle of this age, mileage, and use. The windshield is good, no cracks. There is a small star. Brakes stop excellent like you would expect. The seats are cloth. No stains. No Rips or wear showing on any of them. Very comfortable. No foul odors. There are some nice Husky liners up front to protect carpet. Bumper has a significant dent on left rear. The pedals are electrically adjustable. The A/C works fantastic. Tires are near the end of their usefulness, but there's still some rubber left for summer driving. The body has NO/ZERO Rust on it anywhere. The fog lamp lenses need replaced in front. All the power windows operate. Get your bids in early, it's going to sell! I think it's going to make the next owner happy, especially for the price. The State of Colorado, along with many other states, automatically exempt the recorded mileage on the title for any vehicle over ten years old, and over 100,000 miles.
