Vehicle Detail
Selling my 1936 Ford Tudor sedan, this is a 3 owner original survivor car and has been in California since the early 1960s. Nice original car showing a bit of patina from age but still very presentable. the fenders have been repainted a few years ago and the running boards have been replaced. the body is still original paint and has a few minor nicks and scratches. paint is getting a little thin in places. no rust anywhere ever. the interior is all original except for the front rubber floor mat. the seats, headliner, door panels, visors etc. are still in good condition, especially for age. the dash is very nice. the driver door and right rear quarter glass has some delamination as seen in pictures. the roof insert is original and still in tact but is showing age, all windows roll up and down smooth as can be. windshield cranks out like it should, cowl vent opens. windshield wiper works. horn ,headlights, tail lights and brake lights work, temp gauge is not working but I have a Moon eyes temp gauge in the water pump. oil pressure and amp gauge work perfect but gas gauge does not read correctly. The motor was rebuilt in 1961 after sitting many years with a blown head gasket. the motor was removed and sent out to a professional engine rebuilder at 51k miles the car now has 58k miles.it has the brass tag on the front of engine from the engine rebuilder stating the year of rebuild, and shows the crank at 10-10 and the bore is 20 over. the engine runs and sounds extremely well. no oil leaks, very good oil pressure and always runs cool. transmission is quiet and shifts like it did in 1936, the clutch is smooth with no chatter. The car goes down the road excellent, feels super tight, stops excellent and seems to be very dependable, always starts instantly hot or cold. It has had recent brake work, and radiator rebuilt, new water pumps and belt. the tires are new Ford script 600-16 wide whites, the wheels have been powder coated, it has a new Optima 6 volt red top battery and turns over like it is 12 volt.carburetor rebuilt, it seems to like cruising 50-55 mph with ease. It has won several awards for originality at the Early Ford V8 club of America shows. it comes with a clear California title in my name and registered into 2017. it has the new style white California license plates but will also come with the 1936 California license plates.
