I realize it’s hard to get excited about a car when you’ve been selling them for as many years as I have but this one without a doubt has me on the fence about keeping it for myself or selling it but this is how I eat so I have to sell it. Just traded, here is an almost 30 year old 1988 Chevy ½ ton Silverado step side four wheel drive pickup and I’m in love with it. Mechanically there isn’t a single thing for me to tell you about as the car was just inspected here in Pa both emissions and safety and passed with flying colors. The 5.7liter big V8 just purrs, there are no puddles under it and the transmission is as smooth as a Bentley, the truck sits on four beautiful tires, has cool wheels, factory air conditioning that is cold, power windows and tilt wheel, four wheel drive and flies down the road like a jackrabbit and the truck is tight as a drum and comfortable. The body is outstanding considering it’s age and there are no major dents on it and absolutely no rust either on it or under it and even the bottoms of the doors are clean along with the rocker panels. A few minor nicks or chips in the original paint but overall just as good looking a truck as you could want. The interior will blow you away as the seats, carpets and bed are in excellent shape, a couple minor cracks on the top of the dash and a nice clean headliner just starting to sag a little bit but overall I have had 20 year newer vehicles here that aren’t as clean as this one and I don’t believe this one has ever seen a cigarette in it. If you are like me and like old trucks and didn’t want a project but a 99% ready oldie to play with, here it is and I’m going to sell it with no reserve so thanks for looking and good luck with the auction. They will accommodate all our customers within their normal business hours which are 9-5PM on weekdays and on Saturdays from 9-12PM. You can of course bring your own temp tags if you prefer. It is mandatory that if you need plates you bring with you your drivers license and your insurance card for your present car. Names, addresses and dates must be valid on both items. Wholesale to the Public We are wholesalers in the automobile business since 1949 and the mainstay of our business is to supply other dealers with vehicles that we have either traded or purchased in a wholesale capacity “as-is” with no warranties either expressed or implied. This is a unique way of selling automobiles and if you are receptive to these conditions you will take advantage of the lower prices. We test drive our cars prior to offering them for sale on this auction and any faults are disclosed to the best of our ability. We do not run them through a service facility but rely on our experience to tell you what problems they may have. We will not under any conditions guarantee the check engine lights or any dash warning lights as if they are on we will disclose this and we do not do a diagnosis to see what it is because they can come on at any time for any number of reasons so these lights are not guaranteed if they come on for you. Administrative Fee We have sold over 5000 cars on eBay in the last six years and have never charged any fees. However, the cost of doing business recently has skyrocketed out of sight and we are forced at this time to ask for a nominal $75 fee on top of the price of the car sold and any motor vehicle fees. I truly apologize for this change in policy however the cost of doing business and the increasing number of no show bidders dictates this moderate administrative fee. “Prior to re-conditioning” Our prices are generally way below the average retail values listed in the most popular pricing guides so our cars are not detailed or re-conditioned but sold in the same way they were purchased or traded. They are simply washed and put out for sale. You will not find the motors cleaned and you won’t find shiny protectorates such as “Armor-All” on them and the cars will be in their original traded condition. This allows you to buy the car for less money and me to do less work. If you are receptive to buying a car in this fashion, the savings are yours. Because we sell our cars all over the world and in every state, inspections are not guaranteed in any state as each state differs in their requirements so it is virtually impossible for us to guarantee inspection. Options such as power windows, cruise control, air conditioning etc. are not guaranteed however we will do our best to mention any items that are not working. “0” feedback bidders should call or email prior to placing your bid We do not want to discourage you from bidding, only to verify that you are serious! Our requirements are that the high bidder should pay an immediate deposit of $500 via PayPal upon completion of the auction and the car should be paid in full within 7 days via cashiers check, cash if in person or money order. The deposit can also be made over the phone via MasterCard or Visa; however, payment in full cannot be made with a credit card or PayPal. If payment of the car is not fulfilled within the specified time, the car will be offered for re-sale and feedback will be left accordingly. Let’s not waste each other’s time. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage.
