My wife and I just purchased a new SUV for our family car. Therefore, my beloved everyday BMW must go to a new home. The good news is someone will get a great daily driver at a good price, and I get to keep my '87 BMW for weekend drives. This 1991 BMW convertible has been well maintained and cared for during its life. The odometer shows 146,000 when it stopped working, based on fuel receipts the previous owner and I estimate the car having 165K. I just had the engine completely gone through and the head completely reworked. It drives stronger than my 1987 with 80k miles. The new engine has only about 875 miles on it. However this will change as I'm still driving the car every other day or so. I also replaced the coolant fan motor, belts, some hoses and hose clamps. The in tank fuel pump was also replaced. The timing belt, water pump and thermostat were also replaced when the head was re-worked. I have replace all shocks and front and rear, new stops and caps. One tie rod end was also replaced. This car runs and rides smooth, I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car anywhere on an extended road trip. The convertible top is old and will need replacing soon. The heated seats work great. The fan blower motor is currently not working, I think it's the speed control regulator. I have another used motor and regulator that goes with the car. The Glove box handle broke on me the other day, I am looking for a used replacement but at this time the handle is broken. With the engine rebuild and suspension work I have spent over $3,800 on this car recently.
