1948 Dodge Civilian Power Wagon Fresh out of long term storage (Parked since the 80's) Was originally from a Doctor in Southern CA. Bought by the second family in 1972. Engine was rebuilt at that time. It had approx 24,000 Miles at that time. It then went to a family cabin in Tehachapi CA. It was used around the cabin until the 80's. Built in San Leandro CA as a 1948 Model year, early production. 1948 B-1-PW230 cu. in.8875950188759912San Leandro, California I have recently brought it back to good running condition. It had one stuck valve so I pulled the head. Engine was very clean and radiator was still full of coolant. It got a new head gasket at this time. Still 6 volt, New battery. Full tune, Points, Plugs, Wires, Cap Rotor, Belt, Hoses. I have the original Jack, Hand Crank and Budd Wheel lug wrench. She fires right up, idles smooth and really runs good. I cleaned the fuel tank and lines. New exhaust and muffler. 5 Brand New Firestone tires, tubes and flaps. Metal valve stems. At a cost of over $2000, just done this past month. It really should have a new wiring harness done at this point. Tailgate was missing. It has a new reproduction tailgate and chains. Body is cherry. Windshield frame has no rust. Look at the photo with the windshield open to give you an idea how solid it is. They are normally rusted here. It is missing the windshield crank mechanism. The tape is there as is the handle. New seat upholstery. One door glass and one windshield panel have cracks. One rear view mirror is missing the mirror. It has the original data plates and matching number motor. I have Clear CA title. I can ship anywhere in the world. I can deliver to the port of Oakland CA for $250 and Los Angeles/Long Beach for $350. So I added one. Also I forgot to add I rebuilt the master cylinder, bled out all the brake lines and wheel cylinders. The brakes work and are not leaking anywhere. Also the brake works. Today I added New Heavy 2 gauge battery cables. It now starts even faster, literally instantly.
