This car was bought new by the lady I bought it from when she was 18. Her step father co-signed with her so his name is on the original note with hers. he paid 36 payments of about 130.00 a month. When she finished paying for it she was 21 and the title was in her sole name. She was married later and for a while the title was in her husband's name but I have all the insurance, finance and title papers from when she bought it. When her husband died and it got up to about 90,000 miles she left it with her step father and he was a expert mechanic and as a hobby he set about to fully restore the car. He went through the engine and totally rebuilt it as well as the transmission, suspension and the exhaust system as well as putting headers on it. He changed the intake manifold to accept a summit 750 cfm carburetor which had never had gas in it when I bought it after he died from cancer and he had almost finished it except for hooking up the fuel lines and cranking it up. I did those few remaining items to crank it up and it runs like a sewing machine, has plenty of power and shifts fine through the gears via the automatic transmission. The interior is original and needs to be renewed as you can see. The air conditioner does not work and the radio does not play I think. The running gear is great, the body is great, the paint job is fresh from 7 or 8 years ago but when it was painted they did not pickle the galvanized cowl and as you can see the paint flaked off but it should be a snap the strip that and properly treat it and repaint it and compound the whole car and it could be fine. There are some small detail items to be done other than the interior such as a reflector turn signal light on the right front fender as you can see in the pictures. The wheels are jam up beautiful and the tires are new with almost no use on them. If you want a good solid mechanically excellent car to restore perfectly this is one to buy. I will throw in a extra, unused, freshly plated like new bumper still wrapped in paper from the plating shop..
