Vehicle Detail

Here is a true barn find 1942 Lincoln 4 door sedan with a V-12 engine. It was last licensed in 1954 and stored inside ever since. It was purchased by my friend recently as a source of some needed parts for his `40 Lincoln Cabriolet V-12 and `39 Zephyr V-12 cars. As purchased it did run and sounded fine for the limited time it was run. It was not driven, no brakes, but the clutch and transmission seemed OK. The dual carb setup was removed and a single carb manifold installed to keep the engine sealed up. The generator and ignition parts were also removed as can be seen in the engine bay pics. If you are looking for a good, rebuildable V-12, clutch and transmission setup, this might just be what you need. The body is surprisingly solid and dent-free. The front, vent, rear door, quarter and back glass is all good, as is the trim for the same. The chromed pot metal trim is poor, but the upper body stainless is nice and complete. Bumpers are cores only. Dash assembly is restorable, but the rest of the interior is poor. The 15" tires hold air and the trim rings are all there and nice. The hubcaps are there, but the Lincoln nameplates are missing(2) or pitted (2). The headlight assemblies are there and the taillight lenses (3) are all nice. There is a vintage Appleton spot light installed on the left A-pillar, working condition unknown. Now, the legalese, the car is sold as-is, where-is and no warranty of any kind applies. I would be happy to help load the car on your trailer or work with your shipper. Payment in US funds is due as follows: $500.00 non-refundable deposit due via Paypal within 24 hours of auction close, the balance is due within 7 days, cashier's or certified check. Of course, after the deposit is paid, the balance in cash at pickup of the car works fine, too, as long as the seven day requirement is met. The car will not be available for pickup until all funds have cleared our bank. We will be happy to store the car for up to 45 days after the auction close and payment is made at no additional charge while pickup arrangements are made. I am retired and available most of the time to meet with you or your shipper. Please understand if you are an ebay rookie, you are bidding to buy, not come and look, nitpick and try to negotiate a lower price. Win the auction, you bought the car, it is that simple. Check my feedback, I treat everyone fairly.
