1965 Mustang Convertible Project Car recently bought from the estate of a collector in the midwest. The car was stored indoors for 10+ years. The car has its original VIN stamping in the front driver's side apron and original metal door tag still attached. The car is an original 289 V8 C-Code car that has been upgraded with a Ford 4V setup. I do have video of the motor starting and running when we pulled it out of the garage. The motor was upgraded with a period Holley carb, Ford intake and Cobra valve covers. The car is originally a C4 Automatic car but was upgraded with a Ford Toploader 4-Speed and a Ford 9" Rear End. The car also has power steering. On the exterior the owner added original Shelby taillights, Cobra gas cap and there is a fiberglass Shelby hood scoop included although it is actually not attached to the hood. It is a complete car that will need complete restoration. It has rust in the typical Mustang trouble spots, lower rear quarters and lips moreso on passenger side. lower fender/doors and on the floor toe boards. Once i get the car home I will take more complete pictures of the underside with it jacked up. The interior is fairly complete, it was an original white interior car, the top skeleton is complete but the top has long since gone. The car has what I think are original styled steel wheels and power top option. Car has a clear title. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
