For sale is a Solid Original California 1957 T Bird that had been stored in garage since 1976 I replaced many new parts to get her running and driving. I just found more Important Original documentation have pics it was purchased in 1967 from a used car dealership (Cudahy Auto Service) in Covina California . Then sold in 1971 only 2 miles away to Covina Ca have documentation (Pics) . Driven till owner had health issues then family had driven T Bird into garage port for storage in AZUSA CA 1976 . (pics). Based on sitting I had soaked the cylinders with marvels'oil and cleaned then turned over just fine a couple of days later. I have installed a new 4 row copper radiator with new hoses, new water pump, new belts, new fuel pump, New correct style battery and cleaned fuel tank ,lines too, 4 new brake cylinders with new master, new tires , drives fair has original 312 V8 with only 50100 miles with the Original Rebuilt Holley 4 BBl carb , new oil filter adapter installed, new plugs , based on the nice condition I decided to use same plug wires and cap and points. No Rust anywhere solid all the way around . This car has original power steering, Power Drum Brakes that do work ok. Color XX is Dusk Rose or pink w/Dusk Rose top. Now has old blue paint on it The interior color is XK which is white with tan canvas top. It appears to have been changed to black. It was built on January 11, 1957. The dealer code is 43 or Rockford, Il It does appear that it was an older HOT ROD style based on the 2 shades of blue paint jobs to hide the Dusk Rose paint ? and a 4 speed trans was installed professionally and the exhaust is dumped just past the seats with older cherry bombs and the T-Bird scripts where removed and both front and rear T-Bird Badges removed .Also the heater core was bypassed yeah who needs a heater in California. The T10 four Speed trans does work great and shifts great. I did bolt up the bottom half of fan shroud now as pics show it missing. It does come with Original removable top that vinyl was peeled years ago with seam split in headliner and New rear window seal installed with very nice original ports and original dried weather strips on base with all stainless trim present , both rear pins work and all 4-J hooks are present and in working order.The car will need full restoration for those who want a Complete Solid Original 1957 California Thunderbird or drive as is, as I'm driving it so the miles will be more then posted . Please look over the all pics as they where taken in stages to get a turn key start to a very nice driver now but not fully finished 1957 T Bird with excellent patina at a affordable price. On Jun-02-15 at 07:36:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have received so many emails regarding some areas of car so here is the list. 2 Original Ford keys that work trunk and doors and glove box. There is NO Soft TOP for this car I only have the hardtop that is removable and completely peeled vinyl with all working hardware. All Glass is good except the passenger side door has some cracks. The dash pad does have only 1 crack in seam (pic) and is still soft not all dried up and shrinking, The lower dash metal panels have been covered with some older wood grain vinyl yes it can be peeled off as I tried in r/s corner . The entire Trunk and Front Floor of car is completely solid there is only surface rust NO ROT. I did have a BUY IT NOW PRICE OF 17,000 and if this auction doesn't get close to that I will remove it as I have the right to do so . There is some very minor dings here and there and on left lower front bumper was tapped at one time so the fender is bent inward (minor) and you can see the factory seam splits (lead) on front nose clip area all inner fenders are solid. I have had so many people come here and inspect car with a lot of them commenting on how nice the condition of car is based on age and there was some low ballers too (TIME WAISTERS) so please don't waist my time or yours serious buyers ONLY.
