1973 Honda XR75First year produced so is very collectible.Beautiful bike for display. Will only appreciate in value! Just serviced by specialty shop. Has an old school header style muffler instead of the original Honda XR75 muffler. Sounds great but that does take the value down. I have had it for about 4 years. During this time it has been ran less than 10 hours. I have other interest now so looking for a new owner to enjoy. Hard to start (use starter fluid to help) but will idle nicely. Has always bogged down under a load. I am not a mechanic so can't say why. I was told by the person who restored it that it was the cheap reproduction carb. I found an original carb and had it restored but got same results after installation. It has been hard to find a shop willing to work on this old of a bike. They get it started, make some adjustments, see that it idles great and call to say it's ready to pick up. I get it home, try to test ride it and it still bogs down? I have way too much $ spent on that so would suggest it go to someone with experience working on these older Honda's. Was restored about 5 years ago by someone who mostly does CT70's. During the restoration, the engine was completely torn down, center cases split, new Honda piston, rings, cylinder honed, head rebuilt, new timing chain, gears and much more...have no reason to believe it would take much to get it running perfectly. But it will take some knowledge and patience. Tow straps rubbed off some paint from the rear fender just behind the seat. The front fender also has some paint marks as shown in the attached pictures.No title was ever issued for the bike so will be sold with a bill of sale only. Can have notarized if you would like?
