Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1954 Chevy 5 window pickup. I am the third owner and it has been in California since new and retains its California black license plates issued in 1963. It is in very good original condition.(well preserved survivor) excellent body with zero rust ever, I believe most of the paint is original, both doors were painted back in the 1980s. the doors had signs painted on them from the flower shop business it was used for. the right front fender and running boards were also painted at one time many years ago. there is no signs of any kind of accidents. it has a scrape on the right front fender from a fence and a small ding on the roof corner.(look at pictures) other than that the body is extremely nice showing some great natural patina on the paint. it has 86k orig. miles and runs and drives like a nice low mileage truck that has had a very easy life. all interior paint is original, the seat, door panels and headliner have been redone.dash and gauges are excellent condition. all gauges, lights, horn, heater and wipers work like new. It has been changed to 12 volt system with an alternator and electric windshield wipers. It has its original matching numbers 235 6cyl. motor. it runs excellent with fresh tune up, new radiator radiator, radiator and heater hoses, belts, engine compartment wiring, alternator etc. the transmission is the original three speed column shift and a new clutch assembly and shifts like new , nice n quiet. new 16 inch Coker Classic tires, new hub caps, trim rings, shocks, brake master cylinder and recent brakes. wood in the bed is original and in good shape for its age. underneath the truck looks great with no signs of rust or any kind of damage. the truck cruises at 50-55 mph easy, runs cool, oil pressure high and always start instantly hot or cold. steering and front end is tight and goes down the road straight, brakes stop great. a real pleasure to drive. this is a very solid survivor type truck not a show truck although it always gathers a crowd at any show because of its original condition. 60 year old trucks are near impossible to find in this condition.I has a clear California title in my name and current registration. for further info. call 949-429-5382 IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU BID, I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL ALL ZERO FEEDBACK BIDS. NO GAMES PLEASE!! On Nov-26-14 at 16:24:53 PST, seller added the following information: Several people have asked me for the serial # H54O003660 (H =3100,54=1954, O= built in Oakland CA.) Engine # 2102F54X Engine # matches the ID # on the title. California used the engine number for vin. up until the mid 1950sOn Nov-27-14 at 11:55:22 PST, seller added the following information: I have had several bidders ask if I have a buy it now price in mind so I put a buy it now price in the add but am open to serious offers. this is an excellent running and driving truck that has had a pampered life of 60 years and you would be hard pressed to find another like it. needs nothing just get in and enjoy driving it.
