LISTED BY AASE SALES LLCAASE SALES WEBSITEPhone: 740-503-36518AM - 8PM ESTWe are your source for Porsche 356, 904, 911, 912, 914, 917, 924, 928 and 944 restoration parts.A brief history; The Porsche 914 was introduced in September of 1969 as a collaborative effort between Porsche and Volkswagen to produce a sporty car. The car they came up with was a mid-engine vehicle with seating for two and featured a Targa top. The VW bodied vehicles were known as 914/4S while the Porsche variants were known as 914/6s. However, all 914S's sold in North America were considered Porsches. The 914 was originally intended to be sold with a flat four-cylinder engine as a Volkswagen, and carrying the flat six-cylinder engine as a Porsche, Porsche was able to convince Volkswagen to sell both versions as Porsches in North America. The Porsche 914 sat very low and had a stiff suspension which made it a great competition vehicle instead of a touring car. The targa top can be stored in the trunk, and the headlights hide in the hood and could be popped-up when needed About this car; Original white 1976 Porsche 914 Targa, the last of the 914 2.0 cars built and becoming highly collectable. This is a fun to drive and great handling car. This car would make a great restoration project, outlaw or racecar. The car appears to be solid and without major rust. Car comes with the original numbers matching 2.0 Weber carburetor conversion Engine and transmission, both are not in the car but currently are stored inside in a heated warehouse. The car looks like it was painted once in the original color. Comes with original seats, owners manual, Fuchs wheels. This car in white with the black trim is probably one of the best color combinations for a 914, good luck bidding. Mileage shows 46,000 but there is an odometer discrepancy.
