Vehicle Detail
RARE! 1951 GMC FF350 COE. Factory Power Brakes! Original 248 GMC engine is larger, has more power, and better bearings than similar Chevrolet engines. 4-speed with 2-speed GMC rear axle. If you haven't driven a 2-speed axle they are very fun! This truck has the original bucket seats in very nice condition. Please look at the pictures to see the practically RUST-FREE body with gorgeous metal tones. Many layers of paint were removed and now it is ready for final body work and paint or clear coat and leave it bare metal. This truck looks AWESOME and really draws a crowd! This is truck #957. These are extremely low production vehicles with very few surviving today. Flagship of the GM line, the COE provides a COMMANDING VIEW of the road paralleled by none other. This 2-ton model is perfect for a factory-original roll-back car/truck carrier. This is the 161" wheelbase model and the frame rails have NOT been cut at the rear. This provides plenty of room to haul your Cadillac or what have you. The mechanicals on this truck are in original "barn find" condition. The engine turns over by hand but has not been started since it needs a new starter. Comes with one extra wheel not pictured. Bumper is cracked and needs welded or replaced. Tires are old. Rims are in very good condition and are NOT the Firestone RH-5 "widow makers". Master cylinder and drive shaft are missing, pretty easy to replace. Everything else looks complete and original! Miles are unreadable, but this truck "feels" like it was parked with very few. Look at those SEATS! CLEAR MONTANA TITLE IN MY NAME! Truck is currently registered in Montana. Title will be sent by Registered U.S. Mail after payment. This is a no-reserve auction. Winning bidder is responsible for shipping. Truck is located in Stevensville, Montana 59870. Feel free to call with any questions. Marcus 406-360-8628 Thanks for checking out this cool old truck! On Nov-18-14 at 16:36:43 PST, seller added the following information: Hi folks! Thanks for all the questions and comments! I just found out the year of the truck is very likely to be a 1947. The serial number is #957 of 1053 total made in 1947. It is fairly common for old trucks have a different production year than the year on the title. This is normal in some states where the vehicles are titled as the year they were sold instead of the year produced. If you want the title to reflect the production year (1947) then you can always correct it when you register the truck in your state or country. Either way, it is still a SPECTACULAR truck! If I miss your call please give me another ring or email or text. Thanks! Marcus 406-360-8628On Nov-21-14 at 05:37:28 PST, seller added the following information: Hello, a few more additions... I added more/better photos of the inside floor with the seats removed. You can see everything is very nice except a small spot at the passenger's feet where there was a box sitting against the metal. Very isolated pin holing with solid metal all around it and everywhere else. Also, I had some questions about the title. I am happy to correct the title year to 1947 before transferring it to the winning bidder. This will save you any hassles if you want that done. If you have any other questions give me a ring. Best regards, Marcus 406-360-8628
