** Regarding negative feedback received for a van I sold for my father: A notary stamp was placed in the wrong place, unbeknownst to me. The error was corrected and a new title was sent to the buyer within one weeks time. The feedback was not removed as per agreement, and nothing more can be done. ** I inherited this '85 Jetta from my uncle in the spring before he left the country and I have a couple more cars than I need so up for sale or possible trade is my daily driver and it runs and drives great. The 1.6L turbo diesel sounds good and I get about 40mpg. The 5-speed transmission shifts perfectly, clutch grabs right in the middle, no pops and smooth through all the gears. The car is sitting on Raceland coil overs that feel ok. The winter tires are new, no leaks under the car and I use it everyday 30-40 miles. The cooling fan is upgraded and is the dual-fan setup out of a VR6 Corrado which cools this thing down super quick and is toggle-switched. I put the interior in the car right after getting it and it is a near-perfect MKII recaro set. The upholstery is absolutely beautiful, no rips or crushed bolsters and look awesome. There is a brand new gray carpet set, all the trim pieces are there and all the buttons and functions work properly. The stereo sounds good and it's an extra clean interior. The dash has cracks but I have an extra matching blue dash in perfect condition that I never got to swapping in. I also have gray/black door card set if you'd like them better than the blue. The body is decent with the big-window door upgrade. The pinch welds and door jams have rust but all the critical points like strut towers are clean as a pin. There is no rust in the trunk or spare tire well. The undercarriage is "crusty" which is to be expected but not rotted away. All the glass is good. The "turbo diesel" badge on front is cool and those are hard to find. So by no means a perfect one but runs well and with such a nice interior. It needs a couple things like an e-brake adjustment, minor rust repair if it offends but certainly didn't bother me. Asking $2,600 and includes lots of extra parts including the round headlight set up for the front end, dash, full brown comfort seat interior and door cars, and the list goes on.... I am probably not interested in trades but let me know if you have something strange or different. Clean PA title ready to transfer. PA residents can take care of notary/transfer at my place of work.
