I purchased this car from a friend in 2009 to restore, since it hasn't been on the road since 1986. There's no true way to confirm the mileage, but I truly believe the original mileage is what is showing on the odometer (25,083). I'll describe everything I possibly can think of, but please feel free to ask about anything that I may have missed. Originally, there was not a hardtop with this car. I purchased it with another MGB a few years ago, and is included with this sale. The convertible top was in nice shape, but a mouse decided to eat a 2" hole out of the center of the roof. I'm sure it could be repaired for a "driver", but that's your call. Also, there is an aluminum hood on the car in excellent condition (no bumps or bruises). The car is pretty much rust free and definitely no rust holes. The trunk is perfectly solid as are the floor boards, door openings, floor boards, fender bottoms, and engine compartment. I think all body parts are original. The underside looks great. The gas tank looks as though it was cleaned and repainted. Glass is all original Tri-Plex. Wheels are original. Tires have good tread, but are showing some dry rot checking. There is no "crack of doom" on the doors by the windows. The dash board is good, but does have the common crack on the top side. Shortly after I purchased this car, I fiddled around awhile, and got it running pretty decently. There was no smoke. The seat frames look like brand new. They must've been repainted by a previous owner. Again, hopefully, I've described this car adequately, but if there are any questions whatsoever, please fell free to send me a message.
