325es Sport Coupe… My close friend Kyle has to sell his beloved E30 before he is shipped off to basic training and I offered some assistance so up for sale is this nice looking and superb running ’86 325es that he purchased from a BMW-specialist garage three years ago. The car has been his daily driver and is a true pleasure to drive. Here is a bit about the car: The mechanicals are all top-notch. The 2.7liter eta motor sounds good, isn’t leaking, and has a good amount of pull. In December 2013 the timing belt, water pump, pads and rotors were replaced along with a full tune up with cap, plugs and wires. The 5-speed manual transmission shifts great with no pops or grinds and the gear box feels good. The clutch is right in the middle and feels great. The brakes are strong. The suspension rides really nice and is sitting on H&R coils at a nice height. No noises over bumps and very little body roll through turns with assistance from the strut bar and it’s a pleasure to drive. The car sounds great with a new Magnaflow muffler. The interior is in good condition with sport leather tan seats. The seat covers were put on the day he bought the car to protect them and the drivers seat has a bolster tear and the passenger is very nice. The carpets are clean and in good shape with just a handful of pock marks on the passenger side that are visible. The dash is crack-free and the power windows both function properly. A couple points to mention are the blower motor don’t work so you have to rely on passive air coming in but the heat is hot. Also, the sunroof doesn’t work, there is no A/C, the odometer stopped working at its current mileage but all other gauges work properly. The exterior is in nice original condition with bright and shiny paint, only a few small areas of surface rust but none of the bad rot in the trunk, rockers, or fenders that are so common on these models. The passenger rear quarter has lost its clear coat and is dull. The factory sport package front valence and rear spoiler look great, no major dents excluding several doors dings and light scratches you’re going to find on an original body. You won't win a car show with this one but it's still a classic and sharp E30 you wouldn't mind parking at one. The original bottle cap wheels are in good original shape. For the asking price of $3,450 we will include a set of 14” euro weave wheels in nice shape with good tires. It’s truly a good looking one and you’ll look at it each day and be happy with the looks of this ES.
