Vehicle Detail
This is a great car that has been a lot of fun for my wife and I. We bought it from Bill Jacobs Chevrolet, Joliet, Ill on July 31st 2002 with 45,645 miles. We have owned it for over 12 years. We have been on trips to the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detriot, The Black Hill Rally, Wisconsin Dells cruises, several color runs, dinner Cruises and other trips. We put very few miles on it because we only used it for special occasions and in parades. It has been extremely reliable and fun to drive. I sent the radio and climate control in for cleaning and repair in April of 2009. I put all new tires on in June 2012 at 64,966 miles, they are near new. This summer I put in a new distributer cap, plugs, wires, and water pump at the local GM dealer using all genuine GM parts at a cost of over $2,000. You shouldn't need to do anything but enjoy it for some time. It does have a few minor chips and touchups. I had a body shop do a complete clean up and touch up several years ago and they did paint the front bumper. It was not damaged in any way other than stone chips. The interior is nice with no tears or split seams in the seats. There are four little screw holes in the side of the dash. Some of the weather stripping has a few cracks and is getting brittle. Everything works as it should except that the power antenna has never gone all the way down. The top is original and in very good condition. The rear plastic window is good but has some scratches. We have never driven it in cold weather or snow and very rarely in the rain. As long as I have owned it. it has always been stored inside in an enclosed, attached garage. The Competition Yellow color is very rare with only somewhere around 125 yellow convertibles built in 1993 (517 total fastback and convertible). I love this color and it gets lots of attention wherever you go. It stands out in any crowd. It drives and handles very well. I have never done any work on the brakes or suspension and they are good as far as I know. There are no squeaks or rattles. It gets between 26 and 30 MPG on the highway unlike the 70's muscle cars. We are only selling because we bought a friends 2002 C5 Yellow convertible with black top and we don't need two Corvettes. I hate to sell the 1993. Call Galen at 320-587-8220 if you have any questions. You are welcome to come see it, we are 60 miles from the Minneapolis Airport. Delivery may be available depending on your location but just fly in and drive it home. Ask about delivery before you buy. Payment in full before it leaves. No PayPal please. On Sep-16-14 at 17:05:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I am adding a picture of the four small holes in the side of the dash and the build sheet. It was built on May 3rd 1993 and shipped to Arnell Chevrolet-Geo in Chesterton Indiana. The build date makes it a very late 93. It has 40th anniversary stitched in the seat backs. If you want any other pictures, just let me know. If you would like to fly in to take delivery, I will pick you up at the MSP airport and you can take delivery there. If you are interested in this option I will let you know the payment options before you fly in.
