Vehicle Detail

Description : This is a 1970 Plymouth Duster painted in Plum crazy purple with black call out stripes, rear wing spoiler, black dual hood scoops, new black carpet, new floor padding and insulation, new black dash pad, bucket seats, BM shift kit, posi rear end (2:94 gears), cragar rims with BF Goodrich radial T/A tires, hooker headers with a dual exhaust and chrome tips. This has been a 7 year restoration and almost every single part has been replaced (some parts more than once!). The engine is the second engine and is a brand new crate 360 from S&J engines with a Edelbrock intake and a Edelbrock 4 bbl carb. It only has just under 3000 miles on it and comes with a 100,000 mile warranty. Brand new rebuilt posi rear (the second one) with highway cruising gears. Brand new rebuilt auto transmission. The interior is in good shape. It could use a new headliner( I replaced it but it is not perfect) and the seats could stand to be re done but are still nice and very serviceable with no tears or rips. This car runs and drives awesome and only needs a few things to be 100 percent. The gas gauge needs a new sending unit (I have one) and the emergency brake cable needs to be installed (I have one) as well as the trunk seal needs to be installed (have one also) because it just came back from the body shop. I spent 6000.00 on the body and paint work; there was no rust just a few dings from over the years. It is an original New Mexico car and has spent its entire life out west. It was taken down to bare metal, treated, block sanded and painted. It has a new Base/ clear paint job in plum crazy purple with new call out stripes. The bottom of the car was also sanded to bare metal and treated with 3 coats of POR rust preventative paint. The car also has a 4 speaker am/fm cassette with a 50 watt amplifier. The tape player does not function but the radio kicks ass! This car is a head turner and runs and drives just awesome. I would get in and drive it across the country with no hesitation because everything in it is new and dialed in perfectly. The list of new parts is as follows: Drive train: Brand new crate 360 engine with a 100,000 mile warranty (4500.00 alone), rebuilt automatic transmission with a new BM racing shifter. New headers, dual exhaust with flow-master mufflers, new rebuilt positraction rear end with 2:94 gears (set up for the highway) new rear axles, new shocks front and rear, new brakes (new front rotors) all around with power brakes and power steering upgraded from a 1972 donor car, New Cragar SS rims with BF Goodrich radial T/A s for that classic muscle car look! Other new parts, new bumpers front and rear with new front bumper brackets radiator, power steering pump, steering gear box, alternator, carb, edelbrock intake, new gas tank and straps, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, new heater core, full front end rebuild with new ball joints, sway bar link straps, front end aligned, new dash pad, new insulation and carpet, new door liners, new rear window trim, new door gaskets and window felts, new racing seat covers for the bucket seats, mostly new screws and bolts, and I have probably forgotten some other items but you get the idea! So to summarize, the car is not perfect but it is pretty damn close with only a few minor imperfections. I have a binder of receipts and I have pictures fully chronicling the entire restoration from start to finish. I believe my asking price is extremely reasonable considering the state of the car, the money invested in the restoration (over 20,000.), and what I am seeing comparable cars selling for (more then what I am asking). My asking price is 12,500 and I have a clear AZ title in hand. E-mail any questions or call Dave at 719-337-4827 to ask questions or to set up an appointment to see the car. I have pictures fully chronicling the entire restoration from start to finish. The winning bidder will need to make a 500.00 good faith deposit within 48hrs of auctions end and the remaining balance must be paid in cash or certified bank check within 7 days of auctions end. These will be the only accepted forms of payment. This car will be for sale locally as well. So I started going through my pictures that I have from the 7 years I restored this car and have attached an HTML link for 3 pictures (the previous revision to the auction) The three pictures are #1 the donor car from which the dash (including VIN) came from, #2 the dash it self and #3 the original 340 car that I am selling which shows the original Rally dash in and also the great detail that was take by this entire car being taken down and repainted. It also shows how clean the floor pans are! This kind of blows me away because I am not claiming this to be a #s matching car. It is essentially a sweet Rat Rod because it is not all original. But this proves my claim that this was an original 340 car. if that is not enough for someone do not bid on it. Be also aware that there is a subtle variation of the purple from the coach to the body. I painted the car once and was not happy with the color so I had it repainted again with what turned out to be the original PLUM crazy for that year. So there it is. If that is not enough proof that this was an original 340 just don't bid on the car. It is a beautiful ride with a great price. And as I previously stated, I have a binder of receipts (including the engine warranty information and the second paint and body job receipt) and probably at least 75-80 pictures of the restoration process (including several of the donor car as well) . BTW: I would have changed the pictures in my auction but because the auction has bids already I could not. So I believe that covers all that need to be covered. And to you negative ebayers who have questioned my integrity, please do not bother to bid because there are plenty of other sincere people who are willing to take advantage of a great deal! :)On Sep-02-14 at 20:39:15 PDT, seller added the following information: So after receiving a couple questions about the rear of the car where the leaf springs attach
