Vehicle Detail

Here's the best way to describe this car. You gotta find a nice, quite stretch of highway where there's no trees, no cats, no picnic tables, and, no garbage cans in the way, 'cause you're gonna hit them, oh, you're gonna hit them. Then, you coast to a stop. Look around, then, you begin to feel the heat, then the pulse pounding in your head, then you feel every inhale and exhale, then you do a silent countdown...3...2...1, then stab the gas! Bam! Nothing. The car just sits there. And suddenly you hear it. The engine is roaring, the tires are squealing, you're sitting there because the tires are spinning under you. The car moves forward, no, not forward, slightly sideways, you correct it with the steering, then the other way sideways, you correct that, then it really starts fishtailing, you are sawing the big wheel back and forth, one handed, because if you use both hands you'll get 'em tangled up. No matter that a Hyundai, or even a kid on a bicycle could beat you to here, that's not the point, this is the peak of the Muscle Car horsepower war, and, you are sitting on it. You are on Mount Oldsmobile, and, loving it. It's hard to stop shaking and wearing a big goofy grin. Now for the nuts and bolts. I'll list good points and bad points like they do in these ads. GOOD POINTS Mostly all original, and, very drivable. There's a new gas tank and sending unit, new fuel pump and lightweight intake. Different Quadrajet. New hoses, belts and thermostat. Fluids changed. New front calipers, hoses, pads, rotors. New package tray and carpet. Ziebarted from new. Build sheet. Aftermarket tach, oil pressure and temp. 455 cid engine, runs strong. No leaks, no smoke. AT. Electric trunk opener. Had factory air shocks, not now though. 323 posi rear. Original paint. I have original tailpipes, brackets, intake and air cleaner top. NO A/C. Good floors. Good trunk, needs splatter painted. BAD POINTS Thin original paint. Radio not mounted, its on the back seat, AM. Rip in driver's seat. One high beam not working. Mufflers and tailpipes not there. Surface rust on frame, and slightly under vinyl top. The driver's fender has been replaced, and, it is soft and rusty on bottom. Passenger's fender has bondo. No spare. No jack. Old radials. This is a 45 year old car, it's not new, I covered most of what I can think of, there is probably more good and bad points, please, ask questions before you bid. It has an antique plate, inspection just expired, it has no mufflers so it won't pass, but an antique doesn't need inspection.. Very drivable, if you want to drive it home, that's up to you, I actually don't care what you do with it once you sign the title, it's yours. CASH. That's how I paid for it, I expect the same from you. No checks, no Money Orders, no coupons, no stamps, nothing but cash. $200 by Paypal due immediately, non-refundable. Car is garaged in Mt Carmel, PA 17851. On Aug-18-14 at 18:46:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear, there are 57000 original miles on this car, not 157000. It is a low mileage car. On Aug-19-14 at 14:55:57 PDT, seller added the following information: It is a numbers matching engine. The VIN number matches the number on the engine. You are bidding to buy, not "Come over and look at it". If you are the high bidder, there is no negotiation when you get here. Plus, the $200 must be paid by Paypal as soon as you win the auction. If you are unsure about something on the car, please ask before you bid. It is a 45 year old car.... there could be something I missed....I am certainly trying to mention everything. On Aug-24-14 at 13:44:54 PDT, seller added the following information: As was pointed out to me, it does have glass pack mufflers on it.
