Genuine American Muscle Restored 1968 Chevrolet/GMC C10 Pick-Up Truck with -Rebuilt V8/350 Small Block Motor, -Automatic Transmission and -Full mechanical overhaul, paint and interior upholstery!! Ready to Go - Needs Nothing IN-HOUSE RESTORATION!! This truck was one of my personal buys. I purchased it to be a runner for the guys at the shop (and of course it would come home with me on the weekends;-), but it's just got a little too much power - the guys are afraid to drive it and still driver one of our military trucks for errands. So rather than have it collect dust at the shop, and we make a lot of dust, after the finishing the restoration on it in house, I decided to sell it and get something a little tamer. No way I'll recover what I put into it - but that's the business we're in I guess. Between 1968 when it was manufactured and today, it has only been driven a total of 79,014 miles!!! We then tore it completely down and rebuilt the motor and replaced almost every mechanical part (full list/details below). It's always been a California truck as close as we can tell. Has a clean California title, and we can ship it anywhere in the Country for you. Runs better than it did when it first rolled off the assembly line, that's for sure - and I can tell you that I have about $7,000 in parts into it and about 1,400 man-hours over the last 3 months (plus what I paid for the truck when we bought it - see the "before" pictures below)! After doing some minor surface repair, we spray a a coat of Sealer before applying two 2 coats of a premium filler/primer. Sealer plays the all-important role of establishing a barrier between the old and new paint as well as any bare steel. This ensures a consistent color and a higher gloss throughout the entire painted surface in any light. It's worth the extra money, as it is all about durability and ultimately the amount of prep work needed for before the paint. When it comes to the durability of vehicle paint, sealer helps keep consistent shine long after the job is done. Then comes the 2-stage PPG paint. For the best look and performance there is no topping a two-stage paint. This offers the highest level of durability, best possible glossy finish and a superb color match that you will want to show off for years. Lastly, we put on two light but even coats of Surface Sealer after the paint is fully cured.
