The last buyer won the car on auction, then never made the required deposit and did not answer any of our emails. Because of this, we are relisting the vehicle one final time and have lowered the price. Bidders will be accepted from the Continental United States, Canada and Mexico only. To the winning bidder of this auction, a $500 deposit will be required to be made into PayPal within 24 hours of auction end (no echecks please as they take several days to clear). The car must be picked up no later than 5 days from auction end with the balance being paid by either cash, money order or cashiers check. If you are unable to meet these requirements, please do not bid on this vehicle. We will report any non-paying bidders to eBay. 1986 Mercedes 560SEL AS-IS Sale Not Running. Vehicle is in pretty good shape with some minor dings, scratches and paint chipping. Paint is starting to oxidize. We are not mechanics but we suspect it needs a good tune up, all the fluids flushed and a new battery. It needs new brakes and tires. We have had it parked on the side of our house since late 2009 and covered for most of that time. We have a certificate of non-operation on it. Prior to 2009 we had it parked in the garage. Vehicle was running rough in 2009 and did not pass smog so we parked it and decided to address it later but never did. Vehicle is black with gray interior. Chrome wheels are starting to pit and need a good polishing. There are some cracks in the dashboard and the top of the drivers door. The top of the back seat in the center needs restitching. Otherwise, the interior is in pretty good shape. We have owned this car since 1992. There was one minor collision to the right rear prior to us owning it but that has never given us any issues. We have just purchased two new cars, so this one has to go, otherwise, we would keep it and restore it ourselves because it is a beautiful impressive car.
