1958 Chevy Viking 50 LCF 2-ton in good working condition. Rare COE body style. Deluxe Cab with factory radio and 2-tone cloth seat. Power Brakes! Original heavy-duty truck version of the 283 V8. 4-speed with 2-speed axle. 22.5" one-piece rims. Power Take Off to run winch, hydraulics, dump etc. CLEAR MONTANA TITLE IN HAND. The king of trucks! It stands out in a crowd and gets lots of attention. This truck towers over regular trucks like tinker toys. When you open the hood it makes you feel like an 8 year-old. Great for a classic rollback, truck shows, or business advertising. The original 283 runs good with NO SMOKE at all. Starts reliably. New battery. This is the heavy-duty truck version of the highly regarded first-generation Chevy 283. About 2 years ago it got a good tune up (plugs, wires, etc). When we took it out to take pictures it was running kind of rough after sitting for a year. Probably needs to get some fuel run through it. Clutch is very smooth with no chatter. 4-speed transmission shifts good. 2-speed vacuum-shift axle is a lot of fun. Great for acceleration and top speed. The factory power brakes are large and powerful, allowing you to carry heavy loads without worry. 10 x 22.5" tubeless tires have good tread but some age checking. The 22.5" one-piece rims allows you to run modern tubeless radials without the hassle of split rims and tubes. The interior is overall very nice with very good gauges, chrome knobs, and factory radio. The radio makes noise but I wasn't able to tune a station. Not sure if it just needs the antennae hooked up or what. The factory speaker is located up above the windshield. The deluxe 2-tone cloth seat needs recovered. Glass is good all around but a crack in the windshield. Mirrors are very heavy duty and nice. Body is overall very nice with some dents and dings (see pictures). Cab is very solid and rust-free except for a few small isolated spots (see pictures). Overall, this is a very nice truck. The frame is very heavy duty and straight. 19,500 GVW truck can be driven with a regular drivers license but has that Big Truck feel. This is a no-reserve auction and no buy-it-now price. Highest bidder wins the truck. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. Truck is sold as is where is.
